While out on patrol, Nolan and Andersen receive word that the green light has been called off. Before wrapping up their day, they respond to a burglary call. Upon arriving at the location, they’re ambushed by Cole and two other gang members. The truce was a lie and now Cole has got them exactly where he wants them.
From Season 1 Episode 16 "The Green Light": Nolan accidentally breaks the shoulder strap off a woman's dress while arresting her. Later that evening, Nolan finds out that a hit has been put on his life after a gunman attempts to kill him. Despite this, Nolan returns to work and is partnered with Captain Andersen. Later, Nolan and Andersen are captured by the gang, which ends in a fatal shootout.
Welcome to the OFFICIAL The Rookie RU-vid channel!
Follow John Nolan, a forty-five-year-old man, who leaves the comfort of his small-town life to pursue his dream of becoming a police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department. Enjoy the show's best moments all in one place, as Nolan and his fellow Rookies learn to deal with not only their duties as police officers but also the ones in their personal lives. We're not at the academy anymore...

Yeah, kinda shows how crazy some people can be. Many question why they killed her so soon, and while it could be because of administrative reasons, like her going to film something else and things like that. This episode is so important for John's character, because he sees first hand what some people are capable of doing for the stupiest things, he learns that this job will not only get harder but worse emotionally, that's why in the next season he focuses so much in understanding his feelings and while not letting them control him, also not forget them. Him arresting this dude without using violence was his first step of understanding that this job is cruel, but it is what they have to do, the right thing and by the book.

Captain Amdersen and Bishop were 2 of my favourite characters on the show. Maybe even more than Nolan. I was expecting Andersen to be Nolan's love interest in the end. I l like that someone high ranking is rooting for him, but they didn't overdo it, as if she had a soft spot for him. She was the only one who saw Nolan's age as a value. She also had that balance between bbeinga strong intelligent leader and yet a kind compassionate person right on the dot. Not to mention she could be such a badass too. I wonder if she left because there were issues with the actress and the rest of the team or something. Because she has such a presence every time she has a scene, which isn't much. I really thought they were building up to her having more screen time somehow. I can't believe Andersen was killed off so suddenly. I have been binge watching this show out of order - watched some season 1 episodes, completed season 5 first, then some season 3, some season 2, some season 4, and finally returned back to season 1 and continued from there. I noticed her absence in later seasons and from there gave me a clue that something must have happened to her. So when she first assigned herself to be Nolan's protector, that's when it clicked on me. Seeing her chatacter, a captain protecting her rookie, I literally had to hold back tears when she freaking died. She was such an awesome character and was such a great ally for Nolan. Where everyone from the higher ups sees Nolan as a liability because of his age, she was actually giving him a chance and did not underestimate what he can bring to the force. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I completely understand the feelings of that entire division when their Captain died and when Sergeant Grey came running into Midas' cell threatening Midas destruction for what Midas' son did to his captain. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

She was amazing I loved to see her in scenes this scene was so unexpected i was shocked she was the best leader you can think of especially to Nolan she was friendly and see her getting neck shot was most heartbreaking as you see her about to die and you know nothing will help Nolan is frozen too also sad part is when she was changed with the worst leader next captain I hate him so much but luckily he got himself another job or something

Makes me cry ... I was imagining what would it have been like if Nolan would be yelling crying and when the guy came to him he would of yelled “it should of been me !!” Or Don’t touch me ... it’s my fault ..”
