This is a basic tear down of the Nolan N100-5 modular helmet. Pulling out the main visor, VPS inner visor (sun visor), head liner and cheek pads. Also a Tid-bid of other information.
Glad you could use the video as a reference. I like that helmet for when I travel long distances. Very nice quiet HeImet. Put a chin mount on the front of it for my GoPro. “Chin mount “makes a specially designed GoPro mount just for that helmet, perfect fit
@@windsurfed1 Excellent strip down. I’ve just bought the N100 / 5 so really appreciate your video. Cheers. ( If President Putin isn’t stopped I might need it to stop the bullets instead 🥲).
@@lance4613 I sold mine shortly after that video and bought and Nolan n87+. Used it one year, found I did not like it. So I bought another Nolan and 100-5. Go figure.
Looks like they are recommending systems, N-COM B 902L or B902R. Besides a $50 price difference between the two the only difference is is that the L series has a integrated brake light on the back of the helmet. So if hooked up properly, when you hit your brakes it will activate a mini brake light on the back of your helmet the same as on your motorcycle. Looks like they are pretty pricey though.
I can't get my head in when it's closed. Only when the front side slides to the top. I think it's because of the neck pad? Or my head is just too BIG. Can you put it on in when the top part is down and neck pad on?
You know I never ever tried it that way. I always open the hatch then put it on then close it. Then take it off. I open the hatch and take it off. No I don’t have the helmet anymore. It was a great helmet. I just have.
@@windsurfed1 thanks for the reply! Great video btw this will help me a lot since this helmet completely new for me and nobody did a tear down video as detailed as yours! Enjoy your day.
Hope you got it in ok. Just be patient. It will fit.Just make sure the sun visor lever is in the down position when starting to put it back in the slots.
Mate Thanks for reply.... Is there a similar mechanism in the left side as the one in the right? If so, that might be the problem as there is nothing there 😮
I just got it out and had the same problem pushing it back in but just a bit of force and it clicked in! Have been using this helmet for 7 yrs now as my only helmet, changed 5 bikes in the meantime, but red helmet is still here!
