Wow! What a great voice. This guy is the voice of so many that have gone through the same thing. I'm so proud of these guys that are speaking up through song about things that are going on in the world and in their own lives. Nolan Taylor speaks from the soul...I've got to go back and listen to this again. God Bless Nolan...God Bless You! (side note: I worked for several years in an elementary school and saw this with my own eyes...people would not believe some of the stories I was told by those children...I like to think I gave those kids what it was they longed for and so much deserved...ATTENTION. As long as I was there, those kids were the most important thing in my life.)
Nope, I can't say about that person who has recommended some of these artists. lol.Thank you for just looking into this rabbit hole. Nolan has so many good songs. I'm still amazed at the musicians that radiowv is finding.
Im happy that other people are finding Nolans music. Thank you doing a reaction and helping others find him. Cowboys & Sunsets by Oliver Anthony is also great!
Thanks for that reaction 😊 Haven’t heard that before but it was simple and powerful (a lot of the best songs are I think) and I’ll have to check more of his music.
Thanks for doing the reaction! Sorry you had to start the day off with tissues and that the song brought up painful memories, stay strong. The lyrics were so genuine and the performance so powerful it’s an amazing song! And a must listen. Once again Thankyou.
Well, you did it once again. Another off the charts awesome reaction and spot on commentary. You continue reinforcing my decision to subscribe to your channel. The part where you said that happens after he sang about not having lunch for days, I could totally relate to that. Part of my childhood was spent in one of the most impoverished places in the country in Louisiana. Sadly it is still happening there today. That was an incredible and moving song. RadioWV is really shining the light on some unknown talent. Thank God for them. As far as suggestions, I saw someone suggest Haley Reinhart with PMJ doing their rendition of Creep. That is an excellent choice that I wholeheartedly support. Haley is one of the most underrated talents I have ever listened to. Whatever you react to next, I will anxiously look forward to it. Thanks neighbor.
@@redheadedneighbor Found it as one of the listed videos on your channel. Even though I subscribed, seems like only about half of your content is showing up on my subscriptions page, and even fewerer are coing through as notifications. Oh, those crazy RU-vid default subscription settings. Changed the notifications to "all'. Funniest comment on Jake's song I've read is that it sounds like he swallowed Joe Cocker or Leonard Cohen.
I work in abuse and neglect law, representing mothers and fathers and children in court. I have seen and heard the indescribable suffering and pain caused by addicted parents failing their children. Sometimes after court, in the car ride home or before sleeping, I weep for the broken people. This music expresses what too many survivors have experienced.
There are several artists or songs out there that I like, but not a whole lot of artists that I really feel strongly enough about to recommend over and over again. Ren, Chinchilla, and Aurora. That's about it. Jason Isbell. This is a great intro to this guy.
I grew up in a home where my parents divorced (best decision my father could’ve made for himself and ultimately us) my two sisters (one older and one younger) had to live with my mom because my father was an OTR truck driver and didn’t have a place to live. He ended up living in a 16ft camping trailer so he could make sure we had enough money to get by because my mom was an alcoholic who went long stretches without a job. She was EXTREMELY ABUSIVE both emotionally and physically, whether it was pulling us around the house by our hair or she didn’t hesitate to use whatever was available up to and including a metal frying pan that she hit me with twice. The only reason it wasn’t three times was because the last time she did it I caught it by wedging it between my ribs where she had just hit me and my left arm and pulled it out of her hands and proceeded to warn her if she ever hit me with it again it would be the very last thing she would ever do and I meant every word of it. I have to give her credit though because she unintentionally taught me that I never wanted kids of my own because I anted to be able to do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and it was WRONG for her to live like that knowing she had a responsibility to her kids that she completely neglected. We were evicted from a couple places including being served the notice by the sheriff on Christmas Eve one year. However MANY MANY people had it worse than me. I’m now a nearly 40 year old fully disabled combat veteran who has never been married (although I’ve been with the same great woman for 11 years) and never had kids (we have 2 Beagle babies and one that’s passed away). I’ve tried to live a better life than she did and I’ve NEVER EVER used my terrible childhood as an excuse for any of the poor decisions I’ve made. The only similarity we have is that I too may be homeless soon too do to possibly having my house foreclosed on because I live on a very fixed and pretty low income from my VA disability compared to what I would be making if I was still working as a. GM automotive technician. It is what it is though. Great song and great HONEST AND HEARTFELT REACTION FROM YOU!!!
Thank you so much for sharing that. Very powerful. There are a couple of relatable pieces in your comment, my friend. We made it though. We did it. Please, give those fur babies a scratch from me💕💕
@@redheadedneighbor Thank you Ma’am!! I’m assuming that you DO NOT want to elaborate further which is understandable given the fact that you mentioned that there are a couple similarities between my experiences and yours which means THEY AREN’T GOOD, so I can absolutely understand that!!!
@@redheadedneighbor I believe there's an official music video on the RU-vid channel AppalachiaUntold.. Jake has become one of my favorite singers and songwriters along with Nolan Taylor..😃
