We are officially in uncharted waters. With aluminum and the creation of the EBF I am really starting to feel like a Gregtech player, who would've thought.

Very nice progress! the deep mob mod is really powerful in this pack, once you have them automated and set up you will be set for the most basic ingots/dusts! I believe the maint hatch can be crafted in the assembler without using any tools :o

The Rich Man's Blast Furnace! Far better then the old Primitive Blast Furnace you used to have for sure. Make sure to feed it power, because it will eat a lot of it. Thankfully EBF does not void item if it doesnt have enough power (so long as you dont break the multi, i think only the controller, not entirely sure though), so just make sure not to break the multi while it is running and you should be a-ok. What you said about needing 2 energy hatch to overclock is true, each energy hatch (normal energy hatch) accept 2 amps of power (I.e 1 LV energy hatch accept 2 Amps of LV), and since 4 amps of lower tier = 1 amps of a higher tier, this mean 2 LV energy hatch allowed the EBF to overclock to the next tier. You might have realized that this quadruple the power you need to supply, while it only double the speed. EBF can perfect overclock though, with the better coil, tho it is not something you can access as of this point in the game. Could use assembling machine to make Maintenance hatch btw, circuit 8 (1?) iirc. Much less annoying than using tool. You can shift right click the controller to open a ghost version of the multi, if you think using JEI for building multis are annoying, which i personally think so. Yeah, machine only auto output for 1 face, so if you need to output in other face you will need cover (pump/robot arm/conveyor). If you ever found out that EBF need too much energy, this is where the input hatch comes in. Nearly all ingot can be smelt with a fluid (in the case of Aluminium, this is Nitrogen), which lower cooking time which mean less energy usage. Nitrogen at this point can only come from air centrifuge, but it is a route you can go if you want to lower the energy the EBF eat. It will still use a lot though, but any energy saved is nice. Something you could do at this point if you want is the DME trial for glitch armor, which give creative flight. Not bad for movement and building purposes, could be a bit early though. Bigger battery is definitely needed, though you might run into another problem, and that is conduit I/O throughput. Simply put, conduit can transfer infinite power through them, but they can only input/output an amount of RF that is highlight under the conduit itself. I dont quite remember what the conductive iron I/O is (i think it is 512 RF/t?) which mean that even if you upgrade the battery it will only input 512 RF/t, on one side. Yes, if you put another conduit on another input side, and simply connect that to the main conduit line it will insert more than 512 RF/t. Nifty stuff! Thankfully energetic alloy conduit is pretty close, so this problem isnt a big deal, but it is still a nice thing to know so you dont stress yourself that you arent transfering energy fast enough and have to rush for the next conduit tier. Hey Cobblework! Good plan for next episode because it will serve a major backbone for the base. O2, sand, dust, clay, gravel, quartz, quartzite and so much more. Definitely a good goal to set for the next one. (Hint Hint: Tricalcium Phosphate for glowstone :) Glad to see you enjoy the pack, the greg must commence and it will not stop.

Currently doing some testing in my creative world and can't seem to get enough power using dynamos to run the cobbleworks setup and the EBF simultaniously even though the math checks out. thinking its a steam production issue but im unsure.
@Gekkoulong
@Gekkoulong Месяц назад
To be honest I recommend just set the power line for cobblework and ebf to be seperate, cobblework eat a lot of amps and 1 amps of LV is already 128 RF/t (since 32 EU = 128 RF), so it put a lot of strain to your power network. I cant remember how expensice numismatic dynamo is, but if you can get it you should, it run on diamond (which will be automated later through DME) but you can totally manually mine enough diamond to feed it for a while.

For most multiblocks, only the controller is required to go where the preview says. The pack will usually accept as many (or as few) of the optional parts as you need, and you can usually put them anywhere dummy casing blocks would go. So like, most of the time you won’t need a fluid bus, so just use a casing instead, or vice versa. If it’s more convenient to have an output bus on top, it will go there.

Thanks for the tip. Figured I may as well use all the parts needed for the quest lol

@@WhiteEagleLiveYou can click (can’t remember if it’s left or right off the top of my head) on each block in the JEI multiblock preview to see which blocks are valid for any given location, as well as the minimum/maximum number of that type of block.

Nice progress there! For your power setup, I think it's also mentioned in the questbook, the ratio between boiler and turbine is 1 to 2. Anything more uses too much steam. The problem with the EBF is also logical. You have one converter that can output a static amount of EU. But you use that one converter to power all your machines(likely the electrolyser was running in the beginning) so there is naturally an energyproblem. It would be helpful if you have ender io conduits as main energy line and use a converter every now and then to power your machines since they only have an i/o limit. Personally I think that battery buffers aren't needed at all(it was a hassle getting battery alloy so I just tried without and it worked perfectly fine). It's just some sort of buffer if you don't produce enough but a pain in the ass to fill up(especially the 16x) Lastly for output problems(clay electrolysis) I mainly use conduits(item/fluid) since they are easy to craft and also covered up. They may take additional space but especially in the beginning they are more cost effective. Later you can use robot arms with filters to automate processes because they can also filter by amount so you can make infinite conductive iron without clogging the alloy smelter up with Redstone. Anyway hope that infodump was helpful😁

Power buffers are still a nice thing to have, though something like enderio’s capacitor banks will be much more flexible than the gregtech buffers, given that running conduit lines is generally better than wires. They aren’t too important now, drawing too much power just means whacking a machine or two with a soft mallet and waiting a minute, but having your AE2 system and power generation start to flicker out due to power shortages is a _massive_ problem. But that’s later.

Conduit themselves have buffer, so it can serve as a pretty good battery. Granted GT battery start to be good about HV/EV ish (and the Lapotronic Supercapacitor is amazing for it). I think the line is like, at the start gt battery are okay, and can serve as good buffer, then they get power crept a bit as you spam energy conduit everywhere, then they become a viable option again once you at the later stage of the game. For now i think it is still good to have buffer, and conduit buffee at this stage is not that high.

Hi! If this version of gregtech have a toolbox, it must be useful to having all tools in it and solving all problem at once. Sorry for my English, i hope you understand me
@Gekkoulong

Pretty sure this does not have toolbox, it would have been nice though

There is a tool belt, which sounds like what you are talking about. I am just lazy and have not built one.
@Gekkoulong
@Gekkoulong Месяц назад
Oh true, though for maintanence i think you still have to take the tool out of the tool belt, cant just right click with the belt like nh I think. Mildly annoying.

What version of Nomi_CEu are you playing? Are you on 1.6 or one of the 1.7 alphas?

1.6 I believe. What major changes are there in the alpha?
