The animators are surely extremely talented, but the ideas are 98% from Eiichiro Oda (besides fillers I would guess, but not entirely sure), the creator of the manga, the animators are just bringing it to life
even most fillers come from oda sensei most of the time, since most fillers are being adapted from the cover art stories that he does each on each chapter.
@@yasthekratos No, I think you got it mixed up. Openings included different title pages(often when the Starwhats just hanging out or in some scenario/place not in the main story). But the cover stories have not been animated since the Buggy one long ago.
And this is why I can't imagine Eichiro Oda NOT becoming a historically known fiction writer. All of One Piece is basically from the brain of this one man.
4:28 It's funny how everyone who reacts to this thinks of the flying Dutchman from SpongeBob 😆☠️. He's actually a real folk tale, but everyone just remembers him as the SpongeBob character 🥲lol.
I actually figured the flying Dutchman was based on a real life folk tale or pirate story. Even though I know of it from spongebob. I didn't think it was only from that time even though I was a kid. I'm also an American so it's not just Americans who probably believed that I think some others probably did so I take offense to that comment. Thank u very much just letting u know that's kind of rude to assume that. The creator of spongebob squarepants was a marine biologist he was from America he based a lot of the things in spongebob squarepants on real facts about marine ecosystems but also probably took the tale of the flying Dutchman from that story too.
But I know u said americans but I know u were implying usa specially but u forget that our continent is north America and the one below us is south america lol so u saying all of americas inhabitants are the same thing. Not trying to be mean just letting u know how funny that sounds to be called that lol. It's like saying the UK is Britian when it's different country's united together not just it being England. So think about how that would feel for us to be told it's all Americans who think that.
IDGAF how you feel, it's not that deep lmao. Most americans (noticed how I didn't say south americans ?) were left behind in school or just educating themselves it's fact. It's sad. If spongebob could educate you then good. We all learn one way or another.
I think that in general being able to think of a massive world isn’t that impressive, a whale shaped tree is cool, but it isn’t groundbreaking, somebody else could think of it. It’s what Oda manages to do with this world that makes people fall in love with it. Everything has a story. He isn’t going to just make that tree for fun, that tree will have a background rooted deeply into the events of the show, that’s what makes it so impressive. Everything in One Piece has purpose. Everything connects, and makes sense. The world building is unmatched!
Completly agree, he menaged to put everything in one world, like there are knights, ninjas, angels, mermaids, mafia, indians, gigants, cyborgs, zombies, even freaking power rangers xD power system is designed in the way that every superpower is possible, the technology is out of place, at least at first glance because there are ancient looking people with wooden spears next to laser shooting robots, but Oda somehow made it makes sense, even this technological inequality has explanation. This world looks like made of childhood dreams, there is everything, but it still stays coherent and interconnected, it just fit together somehow xD And the world is alive, you really have this feeling that it's full of people who have their own lives and main characters are just a part not a center of it. The world is also constantly reacting and changing. Oda is true master and One Piece is just a masterpiece, it's like modern Odyssey xD
Fun fact, the One Piece planet is at least twice the size of ours. We don't know exactly how big, some say it could be as big as the Sun... probably not, but who knows😅. It's something that's debated a lot. It's definitely at least twice the size of ours though! Edit: Oh, if you see a globe in the show, pause and look at it. You'll be amazed what their system looks like😲.
The "as big as the sun" thing is a mistranslation. It can't possibly be anywhere near that big, if it was it would take several lifetimes to go all the way around it in a wind-powered boat.
10:13 a planet larger than Jupiter with 7 moons. 200,000+ islands (there are islands the size of Canada) and 1 continent. and 40 humanoid species have been revealed by now. Not race but spicies (human, Giant, dwarf, fishman EST)
I always love watching this video because I can recognize and name every single place shown, some people get intimidated by the sheer number of characters and environments, but the way everything is tied together makes it unforgettable.
