Non-Christian Reacts to The Chosen Season 2 Episode 1

The room is haunted.. “ I’ll take that one!” Yesss Jesus!! Demon be gone 🤣

Apparently the moment where John cried at the end during the reading was not scripted or planned. He was genuinely and spontaneously moved to tears in that moment and they caught it on camera. I find it interesting because I don't believe the actor is a follower of Christ and yet the word of God touched his heart and spirit in such a way. It reminded me to pray for the actors on the show and their eternal salvation. Obviously God is moving on some hearts in the cast ❤ Enjoyed watching with you Leonardo.

When Jesus told John that He was a man, Jesus also turned to John and said 'I am who I am.' All Jews would understand that Jesus was calling Himself God. I loved how when Jesus picked the Genesis scroll that He said it gave Him fond memories. Did you notice John's face as he listened and watched tbe Creator of the world read about His creation. Tears were rolling down John's cheeks. What a fine actor! John already believed that Jesus was the Messiah. I think this was the first time that John realized that Jesus is the Messiah and God in the flesh.

Love how he used the Good Samaritan and The Prodigal Son writings in this episode.

For someone who has been a believer for many years, there is just something special and precious about seeing someone see things fresh. And who am I kidding? None of has has ever seen the gospel story presented this way. So it's the old/new story that grows sweeter with each fresh telling. I wasn't able to join live because of a time conflict. But I love what you do, and I would encourage you to keep doing it. And I love your perspective on what you find in The Chosen, and what you find in the Gospel.

Strong passion can be a good thing when channeled through righteousness.. wow And the way John was at the end and the passion he had to be writing throughout the episode.. beautiful

Similar to a previous comment but I love how they highlighted Jesus’ humanness and divinity in the same scene. He first tell John that he is a man. Then while picking up the scroll he says “it is a favorite memory” which is Jesus implying (at least to me) that he was there in the beginning and remembers when everything was created like it was yesterday.

This conversation between Jesus and Rami’s father is even more emotional after watching Season 4 episodes 1-3 in Theathers.

Leonardo - you may have missed - on the comment about the haunted room Jesus said "oh, I'll take that one!"

This episode. The story of the good Samaritan in reverse- from the perspective of the robber on the road. 💔 If you ever think God doesn't know you, think again. And if you think you know God best, remember he sees the hearts of those you don't. So many lessons in this episode.

To me the phrase “my words will not fade away” has many subtle meanings. There is the obvious that His words were written down and kept. The more nuanced meaning to me comes in tandem with the introduction to John. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus is the Word and He is eternal.

Love watching your reaction videos 🙂 Please go back and re-watch the scene where they turn up at the house for the night and the guy tells them some of the rooms are haunted. You missed Jesus’ response back and it’s one of the best lines of the whole season 😂

“I am” was the name the Israelites or Hebrew people knew God’s name to be as He said it to Moses at the Burning Bush.

I so love your honest heart! It warms my heart. The name Christian just means little Christ. But the title has been somewhat corrupted over the years and for some good reason sometimes. I personally choose to just say I am a follower of Jesus to try to deflect some of the negative connotations about the word Christian. It is truly about relationship with our precious Jesus.

Instead of calling myself a Christian, with all the baggage that comes with that, I prefer to say that I am increasingly in love with Jesus the Messiah. Not a label, just a brief description of a personal relationship. Call yourself whatever fits, or don't call yourself anything at all. This is a relationship, not a formula.

Wow. Finally season 2 reaction.

I think this is one of my favorite episodes about how Jesus relates to so many different people. Jesus just wants to hear our stories. It is how we relate to each other. This was a powerful message on how to tell others about Jesus and how He wants to relate to others.

I am so enjoy watching your reactions to this show. I love the show because of the back stories Dallas and the writers give the disciples and those who had their own encounters with Jesus. As far as it being Biblical it follows scripture, but not everything is scripture but they keep it within the Biblical context. Season 2 has less “ scripture “ and more creative license however none of it is outside of the character and nature of Jesus. It shows the “issues” that the disciples had to workout within themselves and with each other. I love the show because it makes them all human! And that’s me imperfect, sometimes I overreact, or get offended, have an attitude and just get it so wrong! And seeing the disciples go thru those same things and seeing how Jesus gets involved or doesn’t get involved helps me surrender my own walk with Jesus and work those things out.

It never fails to amaze me in this episode how they mixed Genesis 1 with John 1, how Jesus is the creator, the Word. God SAID let there be light, and so there was light and so on, just by hHis words everything was made. It's so layered and beautiful, I love how they did this.

As usual, we as human beings have even figured out a way to pervert ''Christianity''.. Simply put, the first believers were called Christians. People who believe that Jesus is who he says that he is, did what he did for us and they trust him to deliver them. That is the definition of Christian.

I know the videos are old, but I just started this series about a month or so ago when I was brought to Bible study by my childhood friend, and the show was the topic. I was in a bad place, and with the help of my friend, this show, and of course our Lord, I was rescued. I was the sheep that got lost. It's easy to forget about Him when you're in good times and curse Him during bad times, but He found me and brought me back. It feels different this time, and I want to thank not just God, but you and everyone involved in this show. We just discussed in Bible study about how religion is man made. We don't identify as Christians or any other religion. We identify as being spiritual, as having a deep relationship with God, which can not be confined to human religion. Sorry for the running on, just know you are appriciated, brother. God bless.

One of the unique tools of storytelling is that the "framing" part of the story is during Shiva for Big James after he's been killed in the line of ministry. John's own brother. And John refers to Mother Mary as mother and she to him as Son as per Christ's command on the cross. I've seen no comments about how much was foreshadowed in the Frame.

totally understand your feelings about the "non-Christian" title... i too was reluctant to "adopt" that Moniker, which to my experience seemed more like a "pass" than the Reflection it is meant to be. what the turning point for me was to put all my past experiences of the world & people aside... specifically when it comes to understanding how to relate to, see & hear the Heart of God & let Him speak (through His Word & your heart). and then, seeing & hearing His Heart toward me, i consciously decided to give my all to Him, which can't compare to the ALL He gave on the Cross & continues to with each passing moment... i became HIS. and so when i now say, "i'm a Christian", it doesn't say anything more than "my life is His - i trust Him, His judgement, His will for me & i know that no matter what it looks like, He's Got me". on the other side of that decision is such Liberty & Peace, which we all desire, that i'm truly excited when i see others on that journey. ps. that decision is a continual one, i make it every day, sometimes many times in the day... i suppose that's what it means to be a "living sacrifice" (Rom. 12:1).

Wow. My mother had polio in 1940. She was left with a paralyzed right foot. She was not healed. This still affects us now. And post-polio is really a thing. Young James’s story speaks to me. As does this one.

Hello from Barbados 🇧🇧 You know, I didn't understand the conversation between Caphney and Jesus until now. The Holy Ghost revealed that it was a reflection of how God, The Father, may have felt in giving His only begotten Son, Jesus. That is a likely reason why Jesus was so emotional listening to the expression of a father's love. He may have been hearing The Father's heart during that honest exchange. It was a beautifully layered moment that appreciate SO MUCH more now. Thank You Holy Ghost!!
