Bio: Leonardo Torres was raised Catholic and left the church at age 18 after being threatened to be kicked out for asking questions about the bible concerning his grandfather's death. He identified as an Atheist for 12 years and spent that time actively arguing with street preachers, witnesses and anyone else who brought up religion. At age 30, he had a strong encounter with God that made him drop his Atheist title and he became a free follower of GOD which he calls, "The Great Spirit". Taking God seriously and following Him wherever He leads him, Leonardo started this RU-vid Channel reaction to music as a "Non-Christian" musician reviewing Christian music. Through the music and the stories he began to learn more about Christ and considers himself a Student of Christ. Having been lost and now found, this channel is like a lost and found for lost sheep, Leonardo's goal is to create a safe space where God can find those who are yearning for Him.

I was born with Spina Bifida so that scene with little James really spoke to me, it felt as if the Lord was talking directly to me. I was born in Redding CA where the world famous Bethel church is located, so pretty much anytime I encountered a Christian it was someone who wanted to pray for me to be healed (because all they saw was my wheelchair) instead of telling me about Jesus. It wasn't until 2005 when having reached my lowest point and seeing no other option but to either kill myself or pray, I chose the latter. To be honest before I prayed my expectations were that nothing would happen BUT laying in bed that fateful night and feeling so numb and depressed that I was physically cold I decided to just go for it and pray. To this day I am not exactly sure what I said, I think it was something along the lines of "God I don't know if you're there, but I need you right now." Instantly as soon as I prayed that I felt the physically cold and numbing depression escape my body, as if someone drove it out and was instantly replaced with this warm loving and peaceful presence that could literally only be the very presence of God himself. In that moment I absolutely knew it was him and I was seeing the world as if I was seeing it for the first time in my 20 years on earth. Immediately I shot up in my bed and said out loud "he's real!?" and from then onwards I was him. Here I am 17 years later and having been married for almost as long to my amazing wife. To those reading my comment I say this.... God is real, don't be afraid to reach out to him.

Yes It is teaching, I have severe arthritis , had surgeries. 9 months blind in one eye, its' permanent. I ask God to heal me. I know it's in his time. Faith hope love God 1sr. Right eye has 2 trauma cateracs , vision is a struggle.

Thank you for sharing, my grandson is 14 with Spina bifida also and I have noticed a change in his personality.. more depressed and withdrawn , your story helped me understand a little bit more what he's going through , we don't talk much about it, but he did mention the possibility of a wheelchair in the future..I pray for him all the time and we love him so much he doesn't realize how much joy and love he has brought to our lives , thank you and GOD bless you, prayers your way

My mother has a paralyzed leg from polio 81 years ago, and I have had multiple miscarriages, a stillborn son, and a daughter who lived only a few minutes after birth, my faith is in HIM, and not in the answers to my questions.

Relationships with fathers is very prevalent in this episode. Matthew and his father, Thomas without a father, Zebedee taking him in as a father would, Ramah's father having to agree with her betrothal, Tamar not wanting to talk about her father and arranged marriage, Jesus sending out His disciples as a father raises his children to go out into the world and prosper on their own. What a beautiful theme. What brilliant writing as usual! Fatherlessness is such a prevalent source of hurt and pain in the world. Thank God, for our heavenly Father, who sent His son to heal and deliver us from this and love us to life in Him.

I hadstroke 7years ago and am paralysed on my left side Yesit ias better than on both sides but i used to be very independent in my life and now I am dwpendent on my caregivers I prayfor a miracle and doeveryday physiotherapy the end is so uncertain Isuffer a lot physically and mentally Watching the show helps me to maintainhope for my future Please pray for me I ama retired teacher in Toronto Canada

Atticus helping out Simon Z: Reminds me of Romans 13: The government is established by God. Those in authority are being influenced by God to impose order for the good of everyone and to keep everyone out of harm. Even Augustus Caesar was used to impose census to the Israelites so that they needed to travel on foot just to go back to their hometowns (Luke 2). Because of this censu, Joseph and Mary were forced to go to Bethlehem from Nazareth so that the prophecy of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem will be fulfilled. I REALLY enjoy your insight, brother, both spiritual and visual/musical. When said in the last episode how Alphaeus stepped out of the darkness, it foreshadowed his moving from the darkness of his anger and unforgiveness to the marvelous light of humility and reconciliation. I'm SUPER GLAD you were able to forgive your father. Many people can't say that because someone has passed and the opportunity to forgive and be forgiven is gone. You are indeed blessed. Glory to Jesus! May we all be inspired to be doers of The Word and apply what Jesus teaches us like Matthew, Alphaeus, and Andrew. You were asking what they were kissing on the door. I wanted to share what I read from Brandon Robbins. Deuteronomy 6:9 says "and write [these words] on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” In the shema, God commands that these words always be on our hearts. So by placing a mezuzah containing these words on a door frame, and kissing it each time they pass through, a person is physically bringing these words to mind multiple times a day. But the practice of kissing the mezuzah actually looked slightly different than what we see in The Chosen. In the show, the characters always kiss their hands and then kiss the mezuzah. But, in actuality, it would have been the other way around. Rather than blessing the mezuzah with a kiss, the blessing goes in the opposite direction. Since the mezuzah contains God’s Word, a person would first touch the mezuzah, then touch their lips. In this way, the words are literally on our lips. Often, as Christians, practices like this seem foreign and ritualistic to us. No doubt, there were rabbinical requirements that obscured the original intent of this command. But let us not lose the desire behind such an instruction. The Lord wants the Word to be on our minds and upon our lips. We should meditate upon it throughout each day." Giving thanks in all things is what we're commanded to do. Giving God thanks in the middle of the hardest circumstances is a gift from The Holy Spirit. I was able to do this last year when my mother passed on to her healing in the next life in His presence. Both Thomas and Lil James gave thanks to Jesus. Simon (Peter) nor his wife have gotten there yet, but everyone does not grow in Christ at the same pace. We all need grace from God and each other.

When Atticus says, "eventually", I think he is trying to let Gaius know that he's going to give him time to work out whatever he KNOWS Gaius is going through, although he may not know exactly what that is. Plus, Atticus actually LIES to Quintus about what the sermon was. I think Atticus is going to be a follower. I KNOW Gaius is a believer...he's seen too much! At 21 min, I was reminded of a reconciliation with my recently Born Again Dad. He went to give me a hug, but I did my ingrained "draw in" kind of hug. My Dad saw this and drew back and looked so very sad, and said, "I really hurt you kids, didn't I?" I had to admit "yes, you did, but it's ok now" , but, it was a BIG deal to me when he said, "I'm so sorry". (But, I don't believe my sister ever forgave him, ) At $0 min mark, you talked of the respect shown to the wives. Men and women had different roles, much like the traditional roles of the past, but the women were very much respected for their own unique wisdom and insight and contributions to the family. Things are so different now, it is sad to me. You inspired me with your personal story of your grandparents. I have tried to be a Godly influence for my grands, as I did for my kids, but they are now in 5 different states, and I miss them dearly. Nov to Jan is so hard for me. I lost so many whom I loved and the memories can bring such pain, I get stuck in my mind in what I've come to call "daymares", as they strike randomly, without warning and almost no escape. I cry out to God, when I am not doing my "silent screams"...the same ones I "screamed" while hiding in a closet or being hidden by others who cared for my safety.

I know a woman personally name Lynn Marie where she had to receive lung transplant and she was very ill. She believes in Jesus. And while she was in the hospital and also traveling when she had the ok to travel she was healing so many people in Jesus’ name and leading many to salvation. Her videos are on RU-vid along with Todd White. They both did a lot of ministry together. And guess what? She is healed. She’s healthy and doing great. The fellowship of His suffering is the discovery of the power of His resurrection.

My condition isnt physical, but i was born with autism, adhd and add, and i have a very bad stutter that makes talking very difficult. Ive always wished i could talk normally like everyone else and i wish i wasn't mentally disabled to where i have to take medicine every day. That said, im able to sing without skipping a beat and im able to focus and work on do many times. And when i saw the scene wirh Little James in theaters, it was super powerful.

I was born with cerebral palsy and many people have prayed for me, but it wasn't God's plan for me to be healed just like Little James. I had the same question and felt as Little James did, but Jesus gave me the same answer. Jesus has and is doing so much in my life that I wouldn't have it any other way!! I love how you emphasize their must be unity in the body. It's one thing to point out incorrect teaching. It's another to condemn one another. I do have issues with churches covering up sex abuse, because many people were harmed by it. I think the struggle I and many Christians have is walking in truth and of grace. There is nothing wrong with listening to secular music, movies, etc. Only God knows the heart of people. I personally have learned a lot from your channel.

1:10:29 - good point! I like to think it as that God is like this amazing multi-faucets Dimond that is as big as the earth but we are all the same size as we are. That diamond will look a lot differently depending on what angle you look at it. Some might see darkness because there are so many facets its hard to see through, some might be blinded because the light it radiates goes right to you, some of us may see rainbows, some of us may think its a certain shape. It is all God but we all have been made unique for us to see that one part of God, and without all of us we will not know the whole picture, and all that we know about Him, off all the cultures and human knowledge from Adam till now can only enclose a drop of the great infinity ocean that is God. That is why eternity will be so amazing, because it is an eternity of knowing Him more.

Hello 👋🏼 I am Susanne from New Orleans. I started binge watching your reactions to my all time favorite production of Jesus/Yeshua, Our Jewish Messiah ❤️. I heard your description of the winds that battered the house that was built on the rock. Even my own Pastor whom I trust to spread the words of Christ, has never described the winds that battered the house on the rock and the teachings of Yeshua explained that way. When I started watching your videos, the change in you was at first gradual . Now you are on fire. He said, he did not want passive followers. i loved your explenations here. i also love a variety of entertainment, some christians say any form of biblical fiction isnt good to watch but i know enough and am sound enough in my relationship with christ to know fact/gospel from just entertainment. it is sad that so many peoples chance at this relationship with God is stripped away by people gatekeeping the image of who God/Jesus is and was

My take on how the wives and mothers are portrayed as speaking with authority is showing us what a Godly union looks like. The husband is the authority and the wife is in submission to him, so if she is respected when speaking it is because he is respectful to her. Giving example of appropriate behavior to his sons so that they are raised to be honorable to women.

I too have trust issues with Pastors. I heard you say this and it floored me as I realized this. The funny thing is, is that my own dad is a peacher, he has been all my life. Don't get me wrong, I love my dad with all my heart, but this is where I am at as well. Thank you for sharing this, as it has really shined a light on something that I hadn't fully realized. We often read it the wrong way around. It says if you remember someone has something against you go and make amends. We often focus on the hurt someone else caused us. I can be so self observed to not notice the hurt I cause. I think most of us are like that. It takes God to help us see

7:39 - Atticus is saying what Gaius is trying to hide will come to the light. Or Quintus if he is upset enough will have Gaius murdered for all of this. I can never tell with Atticus but I do believe that he likes and respects Gaius but not Quintus. So Atticus as long as it does not pose a threat to his job for rome is on Gaius side.

I so love how Matthew and his family atoned. Although all are doing so well in these series, I thiink I like Matthew the best of the apostles. I love how they show him like Autism, OCD.... I love the details... indeed. I really like Gaius too, he and Matthew are good together.

Amen! That’s scene with Little James hit close to home for me. I have Hemophilia A, which means my blood doesn’t clot like normal. Growing up, I always felt like an outsider cuz I couldn’t do the sports the rest of the boys around me could. When I was younger, I would always pray for the Lord to heal me & get rid of my Hemophilia. So when Little James had that conversation with Jesus, I was balling. I’ve had that exact conversation in my own prayer times.

I burn wood to heat my house here in Canada. I also don’t use a bbq, I use wood! But I drive, I use this phone. I use lights. I flush the toilet

God is a God of reconciliation. I had such anger and hate toward my father too last 2020 after I realized that the person I idolized all my life (the father whose every step in life I followed for a "bright wonderful future" ) was not the person I thought he was. For 3 years now, the LORD has been teaching me grace towards him. God reminds me often he is still my father (honor your father and your mother), and God gave me the perspective that he is a victim of the world as much as I am. He too needs Jesus' salvation... The security and provision I get from my Father in heaven to whom I put all my trust since 2020 has allowed me to let go of the hate that roots from hurt and betrayal. P. S. forgot which passage but the part about hate: when you hate a brother in your heart you already committed murder in your heart

I have enjoyed your reactions. Hillsong United is a wicked wolf in sheep's clothing for other reasons besides their lyrics. I don't have to explain it here, all one has to do is look into it for themselves. If you know what "charismatic Christianity" means, you'll understand even further. I am largely uninterested in most Christian music because it has become more about self-worship and emotional self-pleasure so to speak. But anyway, there have also been a huge amount of "Christians" tearing apart this show because the musical producers are Buddhist and used sounds inspired from groups such as Rolling Stones. However, my argument falls in line with Dallas' argument he made in his 10 minute video about how the show is made; would you have only Baptists print your Bibles? Would you have only Evangelicals deliver those Bibles to countries desperately in need of God's word? Unrealistic and unnecessary. Also, the music produced for the show has NO LYRICS and is largely just a woman gently vocalizing to soft music. Even if it may have Buddhist-inspired sound behind it, there is nothing insinuating that the viewer must worship satan because they heard it. It's typical sounds and chords used in ancient times, that is all. Mongols, early proto-Germanic tribes, even native americans used similar sounds. Jars of Clay are not Christian by any means, but that does not mean their personal views reflect on this show. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, Dallas has constantly reiterated since season 1, episode 1, that this show is NOT a replacement for scripture. It adheres creatively to historical events and the gospels but it does NOT take the bible and re-write it. The events are still happening in their proper order, and Jesus and his disciples are portrayed in a creatively-inspired way without dishonoring their true character as people who once lived among us. The show is meant to make people open their bibles and read. It has done that, and more. To sit there and say that this show hasn't been a blessing to people and their budding faith would be ridiculous and judgmental. NO, a new baby Christian should not take this show as factual and use it as their visual bibles. However, this show was NEVER meant for that, but to encourage people to open their bibles and read more about the events that take place on screen.
