Ok so i live in Nashville and have a really good friend that works on Music row and he told me that Chris Stapleton was known for years around Nashville by ALL of the other artists as "the best singer in Nashville". Before he ever hit the radio. For real his love stuff is the way to go. Real deal talent.

When you reacted to I Was Wrong, there was a mention that it reminded of a 70’s song. I had the same thought, with a specific song in mind. This one though, has almost a direct line to the 70’s. If you’re not familiar, listen to the O’Jays, and Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. They have a feel called the Philly sound- strong vocals backed by layered orchestration. Sounds like Chris’ new album will be very diverse.
