d-Tubocurarine is one of the natural product that acts as non-depolarising neuromuscular blocker. But this drug has two practical limitations. First, it is a long acting drug and it may produce prolonged paralysis. Second, it can show few of side effects like hypotension and bronchospasm due to release of histamine as well as ganglionic block.
Gallamine is another drug that was developed but it is not selective as it acts both on nicotinic and muscarinic receptors. Due to its action on muscarinic receptors, it produces tachycardia.
Still many drugs then developed and currently we have two groups of drugs having two types f suffixes such as curonium and curium. So drugs like pancuronium, vecuronium and rocuronium belong to first group whereas atracurium, doxacurium and mivacurium belong to second group.
So in this video, we will go in detail about these non-depolarising neuromuscular blockers, how they act, pharmacological actions and side effects.

Sir what is difference between live attenuated vs killed attenuated vaccine pls replay me sir?
@egpat
@egpat 4 года назад
Live vaccines are attenuated such that they can multiply in the host and stimulate immune response but still they are not capable of produce pathological illness. Killed vaccines are inactivated forms which can't multiply but still they can stimulate immunity. These killed vaccines require multiple doses in order to show their effect. To my knowledge, they are called as killed vaccines but not as killed attenuated as there is no need of attenuation because they are already killed.
