They started from the bottom and gained great success and a produce a lot of money on their own, and in Korea, they are considered as the top 3 boygroups. Hybe's deal with Pledis was just a new thing in recent years, so they didn't have a hand in saving Pledis or making Seventeen popular, Seventeen's members themselves did ^^

Thank you for reacting! Although the video is over an hour, the creator really just added "points" to know Seventeen so there's still a lot of things that might be confusing. For example: - Mingyu is called a chef because he cooks a lot for them. He's really good at cooking that even the South Korean chef Baek Jeongwon knows he is good at it. 😊 However, Jun and DK also cooks a lot for Seventeen. - DK auditioned for the musical Excalibur and got in as King Arthur, it wasn't a musical by Seventeen. It looks really good, but sadly they don't have the full play online. Fortunately, there are official clips of the play on youtube so you can watch it! - Jeonghan is called angel because of his birthdate, 10-04. In Korean, it sounds the same as "angel/cheonsa." Tho yes he is also thoughtful and kind. 😅 I won't explain the hybe thing anymkre since many Carats have already explained it. Still, many of these info you'll start to understand once you start watching them more. :) After all, there are 13 people lol it's pretty hard to get to know them all at once. 🤣

Actually PLEDIS was doing alright financially before Hybe came up to them. SEVENTEEN made it so. Their Japanese song are amazing, and as a jp carat I cannot appreciate it enough. Please check out those jp songs as well if you have time:)

hoshi actually doesn't like to drink at all, but he was on that drinking show as part of the HOT promotional activities, and he had to drink according to a game, but he got confused, so Youngji, the host, was "scolding" him for trying to drink when he didn't have to b/c he told her he has a very low tolerance in advance, so she was worried :D also yes, Going Seventeen is an excellent show even if you don't follow SVT's music. prime quality comedy.

Just a heads up, Hybe did not give them money coz Pledis is bankupt..... they built a building from Pledis' old basement (where they use to practice during predebut) like literally... Hybe acquired them coz they saw the potential and Hybe know for sure they can milk SEVENTEEN and their fans and can get more money with them in their hands. They are already successful million sellers with sold out world tours, internationally famous, and even is a well established a favorite group in Japan even before debuting there, and they did all of these even before they were acquired by Hybe. Hybe might have given them little help but all the success and recognition is solely theirs and Carats.

Thank you for reacting to SVT! ❤ Also (2:29) Back in then (2015) they were well known and popular group in the audience even if they were rookies, they got to win the “rookie of the year” award that you know is difficult to achieve (because there’s a lot of new groups every year and not everyone gets seen by the peeps haha) so yeap, they made their own way to success and in order of that I’m so proud of them because of that, since 2015. So for the beginning they own a lot to PLEDIS but for the future and their hard work they own themselves a lot, not anyone else. I’m saying this because a lot of “people” use sometimes this as an excuse saying things like “they own ALL to where they are now”, and it’s like “nope ehh... what? Look how much they have been in the industry hahaha what are you saying”

Another thing WOOZI is their MAIN PRODUCER. He produces and created all of their songs since predebut (with the assistance of BUMZU - a Pledis soloist artist and also a genius producer, their predebut voice coach) except for some songs produced by other members like Vernon. He was awarded during AAA 2021 as BEST PRODUCER and is the youngest to have ever received such award.

Maknae means the youngest. That's why Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino are on the maknae line during the age line because they are the youngest. Seungkwan & Vernon were born in 1998 while Dino in 1999.

Oh, Mingyu can cook for real. I mean lately there are a couple others who can, like DK, Jun, or even Joshua, but Mingyu is the best one among them. It's just that he's naturally so clumsy that whatever he does sometimes ends up looking sloppy. Still the end result is what matters. 😁

Maknae basically means the youngest. So when you hear the phrase maknae you used in a K-pop group it means the youngest member. In the case of SVT the Maknae line is the youngest members but the actual maknae is Dino cause he’s the youngest member. It’s like I.N is the Maknae of Skz and the Maknae line is skz is well the 4 youngest members. There is also the word Hyung is boy groups which means older brother….. it’s considered informal to call someone older that you their name without hyung. Hyung is a word you wouldn’t just use with everyone tho, generally when you are close with someone or they actually are your older brother. So if you ever see Hyung line it means oldest members and Maknae means youngest

Seventeen is one of rear groups which went through all stages to become a who they are now. They really become success from nothing to world star. They don't have good resources, chances to perform like other artists like others big agency idol. They make their way till now by their hardworking and talents.
