GOT the beat is amazing I love Stamp on it and the album with it is a NO SKIP! And step back is still ICONIC

the guy's voice that you heard on step back is yoo youngjin, one of the producers of the song (he also produced stamp on it along with dem jointz and others) and has produced a lot of songs for SM groups/artists

yeah! this is what I mean. SM really good at keeping their identity with those “weird and experimental song” . GOT the beat is really strong with those kind of music and I love it so muchhh..

Dem Jointz ma dude. He has been putting his mark on the kpop industry as of late. He definitely has more of an experimental sound that tends to be under appreciated by the kpop community who may not vibe with old school hip hop and R&B (which his sound is greatly influenced by). He's worked with Kanye, Janet Jackson, and dr.dre to name a few. Guy is pretty cool lol and his productions go off.

Dem Jointz produced both and yes, he loves a good vocal chop and/or sample and comes up with some _filthy_ beats. For most of his stuff, you'll hear one or both of his producer tags - "Dem Jointz" (0:51) and "INCOMIIIIIIIING" (6:28). He's worked with a lot of SM artists (Red Velvet, EXO, Shinee, Super Junior, Taeyeon, NCT Dream, NCT U) since 2015 but especially NCT 127.

Yes! Thank you for reacting to Got the Beat (Girls' on Top)! 😊 They are known as the Kpop Girl Group Avengers. I don't know if you already know this but (I'm gonna say this anyways 😊) - they are a Girl Group formed from the First Generation to the Fourth Generation Members of the Girl Groups from SM Entertainment. They are like Super M but their Female Counterpart. 😊 As an SM Stan and a kpop fan in general, I'm really very happy w/ this group formation.. 😊 Got the Beat is composed of: *1st Generation - "Queen" BOA (SM Soloist and famously dubbed as the "Queen of Kpop" because she's of course, one of the pioneers in kpop and because of all her high achievements during the 1st Gen.) *2nd Generation - Taeyeon & Hyoyeon (from the Girl Group SNSD (Girls' Generation) - popularly known as the "National Girl Group" in Korea and up until now, all their members are still relevant and on different fields of entertainment in Korea) *3rd Generation - Seulgi & Wendy (from Red Velvet - crowned by the Billboard critics as "the best idol group alive" at the moment (2017-2019) and their song "Red Flavor" was named as the second-best K-pop song of the 2010s, in November 2019) *4th Generation - Karina & Winter (from Aespa - a kpop girl group in SM with "a completely new and innovative concept that transcends the boundaries between 'real world' and the 'virtual world.'" ~LSM) I'm sorry for that long description. F(x) is another experimental group from Sm you should defently check them out. Even though they won't release new stuff under sm for some time.

i hope you will react to Taeyeon (the one in grey hair in step back) she's a mindblowing vocalist with a versatile discography

yeah the detuned backing track and melodic vocals are SM's new meta I think🤣 GOT the beat is so AESPA. they insert weird samples and make it a masterpiece and insert different songs in 1 song. Step Back for me is close to Savage while Stamp on it is Next Level where they have 3 completely different beautiful sections
