This has been very informative, thank you for the video. I was wondering if you have or going to do more kitchen appliances like rice cookers, juicers etc.
Any recommendations for reading glasses? Should I be concerned about chemicals used in the various coatings like UV, blue light, scratch resistant coatings, or glasses materials, next to my eyeballs?
This is a great question! I'm going to have to look into this more. A lot of what is advertised as "non toxic" is actually just eco-friendly (using recycled plastic, etc.). Thanks for the question -- it's a good one!
@@Healthyhouseontheblock what do you think of the brand Ozeano? They look to be the safest, the frames are bio acetate from plants, but no info on the lenses. Also the hinges are coated in Teflon, which is a bit concerning. But the other “eco” eyewear look greenwashed. I don’t want recycled fishing net plastic next to my eyeballs. Even if they were to remove the toxins that plastic absorbs in the ocean like a sponge many times the ambient water it was lying in, I doubt they’d remove any radiation from the plastic from Fukushima, etc. Many eyewear have toxic & harmful stuff, ie- BPA, vinyl, lead, nickel, etc. Would be nice to find a titanium frame, free of any toxins.
I don't understand why the breville and the kitchen aid blenders are on here. They both have plastic pitchers. I am looking for one and I don't want my food to come in contact with plastic.
