Hey thanks for watching and reaching out. This time of the year can bring a variety of choices. I always try to start out the morning with topwater like a popper. Then I like a selection of jigs and plastics as the day goes on. There are some jigs and trailers that are my favorite in the description. I like lighter jigs this time of the year to not get stuck in the algae growth. Having Texas rigged plastics or senkos are always a good choice as well. Green pumpkin and black/blues are my go to colors there. I hope that helps. Good luck out there!

Thanks for watching! I love Shimano reels. You can’t go wrong with them. I know plenty of people who never use baitcasters. But if you want to get into them Shimano is a great way to go.

Last time I was there a small plastic (t-rig/ned/shaky) next tight to the submerged plants were the ticket. Also this is a crank time of the year near the rocks. Good luck!

I heard that Saturday was amazing! As far as the boots I always wear wading boots when I have fins. They prevent chafing. The Paramount wading boots are light and amazing.

When I am in my tube I always wear waders with wading boots and then my fins over top of the boots. The fins are from Outcast. I have an older version but here’s a link to their fins. www.outcastboats.com/product/fins/

I will look into the waders and fins for sure as I am currently running a cheap breatheable $100 wader with some cressi diving fins. This will literally be my 2nd time out on the tube and still dialing in all the gear ⚙️ set ups! Love your tube set up and your videos 💪🏻 keep ripping lips and sippin hopps 🔆

Can’t join a tube tournament in a yak. Probably overkill but if I were to get a tube, what is your recommendation on brand and models? I haven’t researched tubes in 30 years.

Welcome to the craft beer capital of the world! Most bottle shops here have a great selection. Here in Poway I use The Local Bottle Shop and Distiller’s Outlet. Dave got the Dark Star at Holiday Wine and Spirits in Escondido which is totally amazing. Also start visiting the local breweries. We have so many here in San Diego. Just look up online where they are close to you and expand from there. Cheers!
