Heather Junker getting letters of recommendation from all her doctors is a great idea. It wouldn't even hurt to call her old doctors. Anybody who can give a professional recommendation, the more the better!

Each person is different, some will almost completely understand what is said to them and will be able to read and everything else, but can't speak, others might almost never be able to understand what's being said to them. Many verbal autistic people, like myself, can also struggle to understand what is being said sometimes. The reason for this is that there are a lot of different processes that go into hearing and speaking which I guess are automatic and see like the same thing for allistics? I dunno, I don't know what it's like for you haha. As for Abbie, she seems to have some receptive communication but it's not always at it's best But for listening it's mostly audio processing, so the ability of the brain to hear words and determine the meaning. When my audio processing stops working, speaking sounds like those videos which show what English sounds like to non-English speakers, like, it's definitely English and it's definitely a human voice, but I have no idea what is being said because my brain has too much else going on to allocate resources to figuring out what the words are and mean. Speaking in a practical sense is a motor skill, which is why Speech Pathologists help with the movement of the jaw and the manipulation of vocal cords and breathing. A lot goes on physically with the mouth and throat to produce words and sounds and kids with speech difficulties can often find it difficult to produce those sounds so need to practice it There's also the mental side of speaking, just like how my brain has to put extra effort into deciphering sentences, it has to put extra effort in to form them. Actually thinking about what to say and forming a sentence or even just vocalising needs and wants can be difficult for autistic people. This is just my knowledge and experience but I hope it was helpful :)

MaryJane Thank you for your wonderful response. My daughter goes through the same thing where all of a sudden, she can't hear what I'm saying because her brain is busy processing a million other things. I think you're amazing!💗

sarah mccluske You know they run over $3,000... And that doesn't sound right... U wish somebody would send you??? That's not somebody else's responsibility... What you should say is you'll advocate for them and fight with the insurance company to get them... Not say "I wish somebody would send me 3" 3!!??? That's over $10,000... SMH

That’s all part of the process. Everyone wrote letters. We just got someone who doesn’t understand.

Don’t know, may have been your WiFi if you were watching it on mobile. We were on landline. Most people said it was good.

It may have been an issue somewhere between Jacksonville, FL and Chattanooga, TN, because I did a speedtest.net while watching your stream and got over 800 Mbits.

I do know that streaming involves your upload speed and when I had AT&T fiber, I only had 1.4 to 1.9 Mbits upload.

Even watching the RU-vid video in 1080p, it is studdering (video not audio)

Lastly, I watch your videos on a 65 inch 4K, HDR Samsung KS8000 connected to a dedicated high-end gaming computer which I use play games on and I use a dedicated high-end streaming computer that I stream the games to using a capture card, OBS and Twitch. I stream at 6Mbits, 720P and 60 fps, so mobile users can also enjoy my content. I do record in 1080P and upload to RU-vid, also for those that are unable to watch me live. I built both of my computers. I am a retired Computer Engineer (software development).

Lynne Moore the live stream is over, you can comment here but it is after the fact like a regular RU-vid comment. The comments that were posted during the live stream will show up a little later they have some processing time before they show up to watch along with the video. They were live about 5pm to 5:52pm EST....after that you just watch the replay.
