At least I've been a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts before bashing the idea of Sora in Smash. There are a lot of people supporting Sora in Smash without playing Kingdom Hearts so they do not know how much of Kingdom Hearts is Disney.
@@SeanWheeler100 I don’t know much of Sora, only played KH Union I know sad, but the community reaction and how they wanted this character for years is so heartwarming it makes me happy as well. I honestly believe Sora deserved to be a rooster, especially the final one to wrap it up.

I love how in every Smash direct, except for this one, Coney has called Sora (Ex. the free spaces of no Sora) and the one time he doesn't do it, is when he gets in. Coney was sealing him away and he looked away for one second lol Edit: Wait, Coney literally was sealing him away because Sora came out of a key hole. Sora escaped when Coney wasn't looking hahaha
Right? This is why I like Coney. I can disagree with him and he still makes me laugh. I tuned into Nick Robinson's stream when this was live, man was he an ass about Sora. He got so bitter and petty, listing off characters he wished were in smash instead for the whole presentation. Wasn't even a good bit, he just looked depressed and was super distracting Coney gets it. Nick Robinson does not
@@Junya01 Yeah I really like Coney. Even though he bash on characters like Sora his memes and jokes are just too funny, he reminds me a bit like Tyler1 in a way which made me want to watch him more, he’s hilarious lol. He also seem to at least want to try Sora, he thinks some part of kingdom hearts is cool like the music so that’s cool unlike some RU-vidrs just hate him just to hate.
Coney doesn't....he only cares about what HE wants! For goodness sake I'm sad about Shantae getting deconfirmed but I am happy about Sora getting in! It's called being mature and accepting this! I know I accepted it! I was in the 5 stages of grief when Shantae got deconfirmed and now...I have finally accepted that she'll never be a real fighter and I am happy Sora made it!

@MadLad Gaming nobody is disappointed because "sora is anime". Pyra and Mythra are the 2 hottest characters in the game, and while they're a little ridiculously broken, they're fun to play, and I love them. Hell, they have jiggle physics, and it's truly wonderful. People are disappointed with sora because: 1. His moveset is as lazy, boring, and basic as you can possibly make a DLC character. Absolutely a snoozefest. 2. Because people wanted him for like.... 2 years, but he's finally here as the very last character? kind of insulting to the people who wanted him all this time. 3. Because Kingdom Farts is a game that stars disney characters. I like disney, but kingdom hearts is literally FF7R(an absolutely excellent game, borderline masterpiece), but cringey and for literal 2 year olds. Seriously, the only thing cringier than kingdom hearts is roblox. 4. His facial animations in the trailer look off. His mouth looks especially ugly. 5. Having someone like doomguy or the masterchief in the game would have added more variety than just "another sword character". Both of these characters are significantly more badass than a cringey kid from naruto.
I think part of why its sore, is that he is the last one. Like, it wouldve been fine, if you took min min, byleth, corrin, and threw them in the fucking trash, and in their place, you put either crash bandicoot or spyro, heavy from tf2 with gordon freeman as an assist trophy, and then a wildcard someone else could pick, considering i cant really think of anyone who sticks out immediately that deserves the slot. Idk master chief maybe, or scorpion from mk, but both of those feel too out of place. Basically to me at least part of the salt is that because this is the last slot, it was a bitter fight for it, especislly considering what most fans would call "wasted slots". Of course half of them are like how jigglypuff used to be, where it was a tie in potentially out of sakurai's control, but yea, in the end we have 89 characters, and we got motherfucking steve from minecraft. We have reached s point where any more character we want added are either too niche, or werent influential enough to warrent inclusion. My one gripe is that valve/tf2/hl2 deserves at least a nod for how much influence they had on games development
@@xleplayVA Min Min should stay out for sure. Corrin is a maybe. Byleth, however I have to disagree. Many people actually hated him but later grew up on him, especially since it has gotten them interested in playing the game. The reveal trailer was pretty bad tho
@@KokichiGrimleal_058 byleth wouldve been good if each weapon was a different moveset, and remove corrin, as other characters have better range, better movement, and better height, which were his original gimmicks
@@xleplayVA How would they make a move set for a bow and arrow? I think the better solution would have been to make it where Byleth wasn’t the last fighter for DLC Pass 1. That way not as many would have been salty

I mean we already have a surreal game, where mario, pacman, megaman, banjo and kazooie, sonic, Simon Bellmont, Cloud, and Minecraft Steve can all fight each other at once, on hollow bastion from kingdom hearts. I mean, there isnt much more someone could ask for. Still wish valve and tf2/hl2 got a nod somewhere though, like a gman assist trophy, or gordon freeman assist trophy, but still

Coming into this video from dunkey's vid is such a treat. They even share a wholesome love of Banjo & Kazooie (so do I even though I used to play Crash more back in the day). Thanks, Coney. I'm glad I'm subscribed. Meanwhile, like with Smash 4, I don't think there's a single newcomer that's been revealed that I haven't been hyped about, for some reason or another. Never played ARMS or any of the Fire Emblem games or even Minecraft, but I'm still glad Min Min, Byleth, and Steve all made it in. Man, what a lineup we have here.

Honestly, I didn't care about Sora's inclusion too much. But.. His inclusion made so many people happy. People who wanted him, but didn't think it could happen. So I'm happy for them. I got 2/3 of my wanted list, anyways!
But why tho? Is there like specific reason he dislikes him? Because I have never played a single KH game and I'm totally ok with this, actually excited. He seems like the perfect way to end it idk

9:46 my math teacher is a competitive smash player and he has this exact breakdown during class as we were all forced to watch the direct (i loved it but half the kids didn't know what smash was)
