I think the difference between realistic parks and arcade style parks is that the design is too busy. The elite park is a perfect example. Gravity lifts just to reach the no squad spots is too much. Keep the interactive parts simple and make the background interesting. 2k17 sunset beach has a distinctive feel to it but doesn't detract from the game or make it annoying to get to the actual content.
It’s so simple but they want kids to get into the game so they have to follow games like Fortnite and shit that have a bunch of colors and constantly changing vibrant world even tho that’s not the reality for basketball. I wish that the game went actually bare bones realistic and just had events like park after dark be the vibrant contrast on the regular parks
Been watching since 2k20, love watching these videos whenever they show up every 2k, hopefully this one is better than the last we’ve had (even tho they game this year and the past weren’t bad, we just need better to keep players and returning players stay as well as content creators). Honestly 2k got to stop releasing games every year and focus on a longer lasting game. 2k25 is still going to have Park,Pro Am and,Rec with no added party mode games for example like horse, Marco Polo, 3 point contest, or knockout
People need to stop buying the game when it drops. All these RU-vidrs make videos speaking negative about the game but never once tell people to not buy it and end up uploading “NBA 2K25 BEST BUILD” within the first week.
One thing they got right with Madden was giving people 10hrs of gameplay before buying. Difference here is the CEO of Take 2 wants to charge for games by the hour.
Imagine going to the park and wanting something realistic. The main reason I don't play Park is because it feels fake and arcade; I like the Rec-style of gameplay much better. I didn't Hit Starter 3 in 2K24 until Season 8 because I couldn't stand playing park enough to get an affiliation so I did the requirements slowly over the course of the first 5 seasons. And I had to go Rise because it was the quicker/easier route to getting out of the park with an affiliation and never having to go back.
Also too much iso play and big men aren’t respected in park. The big men just relegated to boards and defense. You’re lucky if you have a pg or teammate who feed you when you’re open instead of spamming step back threes
Since 2k18, I stopped buying 2k until 2k23. However if people really want to stop buying the game they will. I bought 23 and 24 it just ain't hit for me.
Community will never learn that actually not buying the game will make a difference if we all as a community just don’t buy it they will be forced to give us what we want but the community will never do that because god forbit they don’t say they are not getting the new 2k end up buying it playing it all year while calling it trash and repeating the cycle
Bro why after 2k19 and 20 our characters been looking the same every year in neighborhoods no graphic change nothing if I put a 2k24 myplayer next to a 2k25 myplayer it would look the same graphic and quality wise
I started playing 2k in 21(last month of it) and i loved that park so much the boardwalk 2s courts the small city shops etc. i played every park until 23/24 nxt gen those city parks with shadows and space lifts octopuses and sharks are Terrible, I’ve mainly stuck to rec and theater(mostly rec). And the reason i enjoy theater and rec is the lighting. I can always see my player and the clothes/accessories i buy or choose to wear. If i didn’t care about fashion I wouldn’t buy any clothes.
Couldnt use the gatorade shootaround on the window side all year because the lighting was horrible. Even on the wall side you get a huge lag spike whenever the shadows move across the wall

I def agree. This is my first time seeing that park. And it is wayyyyyy too dark. There is no reason why you can't have that same style of park but just lit up.

Shadows are not really a lighting problem it’s a level design problem they have so many random big walls and buildings around the park causing stupid shadows (even tho 2k lighting engine sucks so they can still make ps4 version of the game)
Sometimes it dont be a mess up they just here that something is broken and they make a new build to do wat ever broken like steals that one year, everybody had a lock never me tho i never follow the meta they could barely reach on me too so i was good everybody said steals broken im like no tf its not cuz that was my experience but i see my friend get 10 steals every game when he made his im like well i must be like that cuz the world hollering bout steals and im over here getting to my spots and pulling so i never had a issue with that but yeah they change they whole style to think they have and advantage cuz the game broken and they try to use that
The thing is sometimes people make a good build but 2k decides to nerf or buff certain things which changes which builds are more effective. Low key it’s something that probably could be brought to court. It’s just not worth the money for legal fees. Because you may lose and even if you win you not making money because you would have to pay for the best lawyers to even dream of winning.
Also ankle assassin and ankle breaker are different badges so that's why they have different requirements. It's not like the just made ankle breaker have higher requirements
I just want the Gatorade gym lighting/shadows gone, man. Practicing my jumper with the sun in my face or being unable to see my shot animation pissed me off.
Honestly I never thought about the lighting like that but now that u brought it up it’s a huge difference I played the first week of the game and haven’t touched it since they make the game to weird with all the weird cosmetics they add Ik some people like it but it doesn’t even feel like old 2k’s it feels like the game 3on3 basketball

2k changes the builder a lot every year so you have to make multiple builds to get the right one for your gameplay I’m not buying another 2k until they get new leadership
I feel like giving the game early because you preorder is kinda bs, they have the game done and ready to play an give the ppl who preorder it is just a way to raise their preorder numbers. I feel like getting a demo to see how the builder works and the game plays would be a better deal for a preorder than getting the game 2 days early. Don’t get me wrong I preordered this 3 weeks ago 😭

Every year they add crazier modes of transportation, which in turn messes with the servers cause of everyone using a damn transformer to get around. As someone who makes multiple builds for different playstyles, it gets annoying when I switch to a different build and I have to reset my game because of the horrible lag due to all the unnecessary things in the damn game 🤦♂️ I still pre ordered it… it’s just annoying lmao
I think he is talking about skill based matchmaking, I do agree with badge on this. I’m gold-Hof level of consistency (play with randoms). I would much rather play and be paired up with people of my skill level. Getting randoms be wild as hell at times.
nobody cares about how the game looks or how the courts look, we just want them to focus on better gameplay, lower vc costs, and go back to more compact parks. Them big ahh cities make the game run below 30 frames per second 2k24 was a waste of money
I agree realisitic should be a choice turn off or on, but then it should also change with the time of day in game since they have already added day and nite theme's, but everyones game would be on the same timer depending on server.... Or and also have some kind of outdoor weather elements but not obstructing your view
Random: what if they let us customize demo mode. They let us have options like preselecting teams, game intensity, w or nba, quarter length etc. sometimes I put on the game and leave in the background while doing something and sometimes I watch the demo games am I the only one?
But even though some badges might not have a lot of balance a crossover badge is more damaging than a wide open, jump shot badge. I'm just using those as examples. If I can cross you up and make you fall, it's gonna be easier for me to shoot a jump shot, but if I'm just shooting a jump shot in somebody's face. No matter how perfect it is, it can still be block. I wish my career was a separate game mode from the park. I tend to play offline and I do genuinely like playing the nba part of my career. The thing that sucks is that you use the same builder for park as nba my career which makes us have a build that’s not balanced for the nba part. Also, from what I know, we can’t get cap breakers or plus ones with just the nba. That’s f’d. The two game modes use the same builder but I can’t get this new “cool” stuff because I don’t play online.

Only reason they’re dropping the game early is because we actually held out on pre orders. Hope yall didn’t give in. Only people who are racing to top rep are those with the time to do so. So what’s the rush? Rushing to mess up your build and give them more money? Let the content creators come out with the info on badges and attributes before you just give in.

Im hyped for me W court but the lighting is horrible, same with Elite courts in 24, certain ones covered in shadow and everyone in dark clothes looked the same, such a horrible design choice. Im guessing the feature coming is proper matchmaking but I'm skeptical.
It’s a ploy . Go at least 92 on what you want you build to do . play the game you get your cap breakers and get to use more points and make better builds just don’t waste points on unnecessary attributes.
If you pull up 2k25 roster players like Trae young, SGA, Luka. There speed is the same rating as the accel. Then the speed with bal with be the same or one attribute less then the speed and accel. It’s weird.
