Love that 462. I want to see the comparison of Stihl 462 vs Husky 272. Only reason I say that is because they share the same bore and stroke. Only separated by EPA regulations. (Strato saw)
Charles hi. The 462 is going to win. 5.2hp in the 272 vs 6.0 in the 462. Old school (early 80s since the 272s are based off of the 266s) design for the most part on the 272. The 272 is going to last longer due to the raw air that is metered into the 462 engine. This "air leak" is what has the 462s running "on the pipe" and sreaming. Mix oil, mix oil, mix oil... Thanks for watching.
Dave, maybe a bit like your "garden of Ireland", lol. Yes sir. Would have been "a whole lotta" water coming down on my cranium beating that one over. Thanks for checking in.
Healthy sounding 462....bar and chain seem fine is that a square ground chain? Saw pulling nicely. I use a 461 and a 046 for medium work nice saws....and still have a couple 044's. Be safe...Shoe
Mr. Jack, if I may ask, on the shortening of the bar I would think it easier to remove to bar tip/sprocket and cut to length/machine/drill/rivet rather than rework the tail, is this correct? My apology if this is an off-limits question...your son(s) have some falling footage on the channel, are they "journeymen" fallers/saw builders as well or are they pursuing different career paths? Thank you Mr. Jack....
This head was purchased around 15, or maybe 17, years ago after I lost my last 3lb Stroax. It's a Bacho. Swedish through Husqvarna. Think it might have been Bacho - Sandvik back then. But, that was a long time ago.
brdski_ hi. I use which ever saw I think will be best suited to the bar I want to run. Most of my Huskys are older and in really great physical condition. I don’t take them on sabbatical as often. Thanks for watching.
Gentlemen hello. The placard says 67cc. Doing the bore & stroke mathematics for cylindrical volume you get 66.76cc for the swept amount. So the factory Boys rounded up to the 67cc number - which is what usually happens. Thanks for watching. Matt hi. Hope all is well in the East. Thanks for stopping by.
