In this tutorial series we will cover the basic functionality of the Nord Drum 3P. In this fifth episode we are showing how to adjust sensitivity, treshold and more to fine tune the response to your liking, and also how to adjust for playing with hands and integrating a Kick Pedal in your setup.

So, it is about 6 years since the Nord Drum 3P came out now right?! Now in 2023, I wonder, will you release a new updated Nord Drum? It would be really be a great time this Fall! :) A dream, more pads, higher sensitivity and a pad for a kick pedal and a pad for high-hat and a crash, but also a way to make more long tones and scales of octaves, so to make really music on this little cool guy, and a way to then Live Loop all that to create ones own live performances with both music and drums in ones own making! please make it happen! It can be come a dream machine with some updates in the right direction! thanks from Sweden!

I love this thing since years. I always wondered since it has a midi protocol and interface build in , while the standard allows 16 channels in general if a firmware upgrade would maybe give a 7th channel to trigger with a pedal. (kick pedal or even o/c hihats ) . Since it has also a ch 10 to receive multi commands ... It would become again more versatile. Could also be used for other midi cc commands .. Anyway thank you for the video

Question to Nord: Does pluging ONLY THE LEFT (or right) outpout to a soundcard or monitor make it Mono? Or will the audio just come from one side? thank you

Under the 'MIX' section on the Nord Drum 3P you can set the Panning for each sound. If you hard pan a sound to the Right channel, it will not output from the Left channel, even if you only connected the Left channel to you mixer of such. This device does not automatically sum the channels into MONO if you disconnect one output cable.

When I enter the Sensitivity settings menu all channels are selected and pressing Ch Select doesn't change anything. I can only adjust the sensitivity of all pads at once. The firmware is latest version. What am I doing wrong?

I'd love to see a video of creating a custom sound, then loading the new firmware to prove that installing the firmware will not destroy all my custom sounds.

Hello how are you? I need to remove a doubt about nord drum3p, I am wanting to create my set in library E1 and I need to copy the hat of the A32 but I can not copy it and paste it in E1 without being copied the whole A32, I mean? I would appreciate your help. Thank you

Hi, I just got a nord drum. But even selecting hand drum mode and lowest threshold ghost notes are not played back finger drumming. How much force is needed? Is soft playing possible?

Soft playing is possible but the synth is clearly not for hand drumming and that is a distinct limitation. If that is your main use for it (as it was mine) I think it's difficult to pull off, although possible with some dedication
