Beautiful woodwork and interior design once again. Seems like this is a signature of Nordhavn yachts and I love it. No mistaking these interiors for luxury houses or condos. These interiors say luxury marine vessels, period. I can’t imagine how wonderful it must be to own one of these and make plans to go see the world in it. That would be the life alright.
I really like the Nordhavn company in many ways, very nice looking boats, the people in the management seem to be really interrested in what they do, and its a humble company which seem to respect diversities and cultural meetings. Thats what I read out of these great videos!
I wish they’d start with a tour of the interior. I really like how their yachts are 4 stories of living space. So much room given the whatever the length. Nordhavn and Bering are my favourite manufacturers based on what I’ve seen. Each company has its own strengths.
this one cool too... I never knew that chili was so beautiful this is a profile of some owners that are cruising their local waters with plans to come all the way up to Alaska in the next 4 years seems like a very cool family I want to be adopted immediately!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P4pWDUDW_6o.html
no question about the quality of these yachts build by Nordhavn, personally if money was no object I would not choose the 120 but this one, the 86 because I want to sail it by my self with my wife helping out.
Epsensieg 18 fact is not jealousy. The whole world know everything made in China is copy junk. Chinese can't even create their own they have to steal idea copy from other. Btw I am an American I just found out Notdhavn was an American company that was designed and engineer in California then build at our shipyard in Taiwan. Taiwan is not China
I'm confident I could sell many of these given learning and grooming of the Nordhavn family. I'm happy to start with mopping floors for no money, you can tell me where you need me. However if you put me in front of new prospects I think I could be very helpful. Cheers from Mn🙂
@@ryanscubarhino201 Hey I'll join ya dot dot dot although in Nevada I'm a bit segregated from the ocean in the yachting industry I have always had a fascination with all things marine especially mechanical systems and electronic systems I've been a power and motoryacht subscriber since age 10 (actually they send it to me for free)
Love Nordhavn ! Wish they'd make a steel hull (even aluminum). we have to deal with trees floating around and rocky outcroppings/beaches in the Pacific Northwest .
I totally agree pal. The one thing that grates me is Nordhavn were formally made in the Netherlands (if my assumption's are correct) where production costs are approx 5-8 times the cost of China, therefore they've no chance of getting the western world asking price from me. It would leave a rather bad taste in my mouth.
@@manos3790 you need to do your research there buddy they were never made in the Netherlands the design with the raked windshield is reminiscent of fishing trawlers in those northern countries but no always made in Taiwan at the wonderful tashang shipyard craftsman produced work that rivals / surpasses any domestic builder or even European builders and as far as the hull goes it is 2 plus inches of solid GRP and they also offer a very thick steel reinforcement plate on the bow for your concerns for trees floating there's also forward looking sonar that is semi useful.
why is it that on all these Nordhavn videos important things like average speed, fuel consumption etc etc are never shown? Makes one wonder and makes me lean toward a Choey or a Outer Reef because I've seen that on there videos. January I buy so we will see what comes up
The only way I could have one is to win 100 million plus lottery. The 86 to 120 I could easily afford it because its gonna be the only thing I buy because its gonna take a few years of some serious sailing to figure out where I'm going to live lol. Love these boats.
Very nice vid....I like nordhaven....however I believe Mr. Sjakon should park this boat in Indonesia as there are many beautiful islands to explore here. in Indonesia.....
+Minimax972 That varies by mission. For a simple booze cruise (4 hours out and return to port) one would want -- at minimum -- an able pilot, a competent deckhand and probably a deck monkey. For coastal cruising (cruise to different ports with only occasional overnight passages) one would probably want an able pilot, a deckhand competent to stand watch and maybe two deck monkeys -- who can cook, do laundry, etc. For full-on passage making (24/7 operation for a week or weeks) I would spec the minimum crew as an able captain with significant blue water experience, an able pilot with significant mechanical experience and two competent deck hands able to stand watch. When looking a accommodations, this size range focuses on multitasked operation - so we're taking about roles more than bodies. The owner is generally going to be able to act as pilot and will be very familiar with the ship's systems. The owner's family members might be able to act as a stew/chef...or stand watch. Or maybe they hire a stew/chef who is capable to act as a deck monkey. Or maybe hire a watch-keeper who is also a phenomenal bartender.
The vessel is designed for a crew of 4, or you can do the owner operator. The NordHavn IS one of the best if not the best built, these vessels can take just about any type of weather that is thrown at them.
Less or equal to what is used by A list celebs, political heads and heads of industry. I say God bless them enjoy life and it's rewards. To thouse that hide in the shadows throwing knives at thouse who through hard work and sacrifice have somthing you don't and want, I say SHAME on you!
Except for a couple places in the world such as the gulf of Aden and the malaca straits you are not going to run into too many people not want to go through the trouble love harassing private pleasure boats there's also some activity as recent as this year around Venezuela Pirates posing as government patrol boats in boarding with phony uniforms wanted to tell people into port tuik stored them
@@brettrun8575 I agree God dot dot in less he wants to get rid of the 3 to 5000 mile range that these awesome yeah it's offer and when you're going around the clock 24 hours a day at that consistent speed you be surprised how quickly you can get places recently be 52 footer and lots cross frankly every year cross the Atlantic with these
B maloney these are some of the best built yachts on the water, they can handle about any weather you throw at them, they beat the stuffing out of other yachts of the same size
It’s cost prohibitive to build a lot of products in the US .the labor cost alone would double the price of yacht, I’m a union member for almost 40 years. Almost all the products we install are from Other countries. This also has to to with our own greed , we want our pension funds , annuities, and other investments and funds to make the most in returns, the only way this happens is for cheaper products and labor to make Goods so the companies our funds are invested in make the most in returns. Try to go a month with only buying products made in The US it’s almost impossible. Most things you think are made in the US are just ASSEMBLED here , parts are made elsewhere
Yes American owned in Dana point California dot dot dot and have built in Taiwan by touching for years starting with their Mason sailboats 30 plus years ago craftsman rival / surpasss any work done inside our borders!!!
@@emem8516 Actually these boats are designed to be run by a couple it may be a slight challenge on the 86 but it has been done by previous owners will certainly the 76 68 and below
Well You won't buy an American made fiberglass 86 foot Ocean crossing vessel of this quality unless You build it Yourself. These folks have been building the highest quality Trawlers for generations, the woodwork and craftsmanship is first class.
