Interview with Jose and Crissy Fuentes owners of Nordhavn 63 "Promesa" in San Juan, Puerto Rico Like us on Facebook: / nordhavn Follow us on Twitter: / nordhavnyachts Follow us on Instagram: / nordhavn_yachts
The Nord 63 is a hell of a vessel! If I go full motor, it will be my first choice. I’m a sailor, and even at 64, I feel that I’d prefer a 56’ Nord motor sailor. Maybe a sail assisted troller like a Diesel Duck or an appropriately equipped Seahorse. I’ve seen posts about how excellent the Nordhavn crew is. Fleming, too. And as much as I love a Flemings low profile, I’d take a Nord in a heartbeat! Beautiful boat. I wish I could buy new, but I just spent too much time sailing to afford one! (lol) Peace
I love the "L" kitchen you incorporated from the N62. I'm sure this will become the new normal arrangement other N63 buyers will use...I know I will! As a true testament to the model you chose is the fact that not a single N63....at least I can't find one....has been listed on the brokerage market. If you are ever on the west coast of Florida, Sarasota area, I would love to meet you and talk with you about your experiences aboard Promesa. God Speed!
Having spent 6 years in the Royal Navy, and more recently being at sea as a volunteer with the RNLI Search and Rescue, think I can safely say that I would be happy crossing any Ocean on one of these. Sounds like Mr & Mrs Fuentes are in for some great times - Bon Voyage
We want one! Has always been my dream to travel the Mississippi north then cross over and take the ICW back to Florida then across to the Bahamas. Wish someone would take that route and film the process and put on RU-vid. Would love to be onboard by living the process thru my viewing on RU-vid. Love the Nordhaven!
Saludos.
Great video. Would you take a moment to outline a few of the additional features that you found on your trip to China and on other boats that you incorporated in your new build? Thanks in advance.
Nice that would be my exact pick for live aboard boat. With that said HOW MUCH? Oh right if you have to ask you can't afford it. Ha ha. Congrats enjoy in good health.
Jose and Crissy. You will totally enjoy Maine cruising. Some of the best in the world! aprox. 3500 miles of coastline and islands,. Did I say islands? Lorim and I have explored every inch and up into Canada for almost 18 years. Living in Arizona for the last 11 years and missing the ocean. Will be moving aboard a new boat for us by end of 2017. Nordhavn 56 Motorsailer (can't seem to get this out of my blood) or a mid 50s catamaran. Best wishes on your new journey! :) Richard Chassé | M. 100 T
Many owners of bluewater capable boats do not desire a flybridge, because they add additional weight up high, and create drag in windy conditions. When you take beam seas, I'm sure it can increase the roll due to the added weight.
