Is there any way that you could explain what stretches you do before what workouts/races and why? I notice you do different stretches for different occasions and I would love to implement them into my workouts!

Man I don’t know why Mathias is complaining about curves! Here in North America their all the rave. We just can’t get enough of them. But if Mathias doesn’t appreciate them, then that means more for me. Each to their own I guess. Am I right?

I've got a competition 200m relay on Sunday and I'm getting accessed on it for school, any tips? And what's your tactic for 200m, its probably my worst sprint distance

Track is an individual sport But the team camaraderie shines a lot, especially during travel. Good job!

hi mathias! love your vlogs man learning a lot from you, I just got a question, in off season how long does your strength session last ? when you were getting into strength training for the first time, how did you go on about learning the olympic lifts?

Hello from Chicago! In case you don't get a reply, I thought it would be helpful to share my experience as a track cycling sprinter who uses weightlifting for cross training. I love Oly because the benefits gained is just incredible. Ballistic force generation is what weightlifting teaches and obviously it's essential in performance in high output sport. I'm going to be honest with you. Learning Oly even with a coach is incredibly frustrating and can be a long journey because it's so technical. So my advice with Oly is to have a mindset of learning it and understanding the lifts because the power transferring is more like gymnastics so there is definitely a learning curve. Big squats is key. Back posterior chain training is essential and of course this will help you in your specific sport. Good luck! And cheers from Chicago

@@smarti773 thanks mate for sharing your experience. Yes I do accept the fact that learning oly weightlifting is not something that you can learn overnight, that’s why I am focusing more on stuff like squats and single RDL etc to build the base strength while at the same time practicing the basic oly weightlifting drills with just the bar or maybe with light weight.

@@keerthivasramkumar9293 exactly! Any work is good work. I cross train other athletes in high output sports and this is something to remember, anything is absolutely worth it. Little bit definitely goes a long way and some work is better than just not doing. Because really, the earlier you start with cross training, the more smart and efficient you'll be as you progress to higher levels in your sport and you'll see it in how you compare to those who haven't. Keep it going. Never back down. And it's never too late. Cheers 🙆🏻🤓

Mathias, your editing eye for detail is getting out of hand. You’re blurring text and refocusing it for it to blend with the camera footage 😅 Anyway, great edits bro.

Hello Mathias The first thing to tell you that I love your videos and I learn a lot with them. The second thing, I had a question and it was what is your stretching and mobility routine before competing and training. Or if you prefer you could upload a video explaining it and many people would see it since I have seen in the comments that people are quite interested. Thank you very much in advance and sorry for the inconvenience

Does your second place finish in the 200 mean you are going to Worlds Indoor? In the US, top two in each event go to Worlds. Just wondering if it is the same there.
@hovejoha
@hovejoha 2 года назад
No the 200m isn't really an international event indoors. Neither the Europeans nor the World indoors have the 200m indoors.
