What a nice sound. It has been a long long time hearing a train on "stick" rail. I am a retired Railroader with 35 great years in the Job. When I started, continuous welded rail was just getting started. I spent many spring and summer on the B & M RR walking track looking for and replacing broken Bond Wires.
I travelled by coach in one day from London to Edinburgh many years ago, but I'd love to have made that journey by train as you did from Scotland to England those years ago.
@@stepbystepasmr6030 That's a bit cheeky to advertise your channel on a someone else's channel....Not very considerate. How would you feel if @Bababouy advertised their sound effects channel on yours?
As a child i travelled on trains a lot with my parents. Sleeping on trains made me feel safe coz of the rhytmic movement & the sound of the track & train. Over the years my trick to put myself to sleep was to imagine i am on a train making an overnight journey. Then i visualize myself on the berth..comfortably covered in my blanket & then i mentally switch on this sound...this exact same sound of the moving train. It never fails to help me stop thinking & helps me get fitfull sleep. Now i have this video & audio !!!! Thank you so much. 🚊🙏🏼
The rhythmic clang from the track and train along with the trains horn are truly magical . Never fails to rock me to sleep . Great upload thank you so much from Inverness , Scotland 👌👌👌👌👍
Agree !.. This is a great sleep aid !.. Should also mention it is the low frequency sound from the train itself that is equally important as the track's rhythmic clicking !. Thank you Bababouy, from Texas.
Love my cabin! Got my bed all set up, cozy blankets, comfy pillows and a beautiful view out my window. Walking down the hall, train moving me from side to side, off to the dining car, starving! Perhaps the freezing rain noises against the windows are creating a hunger for something warm in my belly, I don't know... The chef has some beef stroganoff with her own made spätzle so, what can a person do but ask for some sour cream, and dig in! So creamy, meaty and delicious! The sauce clinging to every noodle in my bowl. Using the fresh bread to get every drop of that gravy, satisfied ' I pad back to my cabin. Locking the door, feeling safe, get into my pajamas, tuck into my cozy bed and listen to the train going over the tracks. Music to my ears as I snuggle into my comfy bed, full, warm and comfy. The rocking of the train, back and forth, the sound of the freezing rain against the windows, and knowing I am safe here puts me into a sweet sleep....zzzzzz
I live in Sweden and I take the train once a week and it's amazing how calming it can be. It's like a big metal cradle. This makes me able to imagine being in that metal cradle on the days where I don't travel. It is hypnotic to watch the train follow the tracks and hearing the icy snow hit the window Big props to people who work on trains btw, I know there's been some strikes and I really want you to know that us who couldn't do certain things without trains, we stand with you and we are thankful for what you do. You keep the country moving, literally and figuratively.
On the first glance I thought it is the same relation that is in the recording Norway on a stormy condition ... but here isn't electrification ...and on a electrificated relation there isn"t sound of dilatations du dum du dum. And not so many tunnels and galleries. The winter landscape seems to me very similar. But I've monintored both YT records only once
Before watching this I was really stressed but I must say I feel so much better now after listening and watching a place that’s beauty is magical. Thank you for the peace I needed.
This is so very beautiful and soothing. I am in my 60s and my dream is to take hours-long train rides in Nordic lands, ever since I discovered rail videos like this. I hope as I approach retirement that my health and finances will one day allow me the privilege to visit one of these gorgeous countries. I feel I was definitely born in the wrong place. Thank you for such a beautiful video! I especially appreciate that you credited your source.
I just want to tell you how much I enjoy this video. I wake up a lot in the early morning hours and can't get back to sleep because my brain just thinks about anything and everything. When that happens, I'll put your video on and watch it. It helps quiet my brain and I can fall back to sleep. I keep looking for a moose, which I know I'll never see but looking for it occupies my mind and pushes the other thoughts aside. The scenery is so beautiful and the snow at the tunnel entrances is beautiful. Thank you so much.
This has become my new favourite "white noise sound". Asleep in a matter of minutes and I stay asleep. I am mesmerized by the ride/scene before falling gently asleep. Awesome. Thank you for uploading this one.
Been watching train videos for about 6 years because I love the ones with the snow scenes and sounds of wheels on the tracks. I find myself imaging I'm on board heading home in the late afternoon hours or on a trip. I watch for houses and any people or animals near the tracks too. Love the videos so relaxing. I have never traveled by train, but, have always wanted to. Maybe one day I will be able to afford going on one.
I've been listening to grownup bedtime stories for months, and from there the RU-vid rabbit hole offered me crackling log fires in rustic taverns, rainstorms, ocean waves and frogs on the bayou. Then it sent me crickets, owls and whales.🦗🦉🐳 FINALLY they put me on a train. The first one was nice, but the clickety- clackity was more harsh than I prefer for sleep inducement. Then I found YOUR train.🤗🚂 I like the softer, more muted sound. Now what I can't figure out is...how do train conductors STAY AWAKE? Honestly, that rhythmic sound of the train on the tracks....instant zzzzzz😴😴 Thank you for the lovely, snowy train trip to Dream Land. 🙂
A couple of winters ago I finally got a chance to take the train from NY to Cal. It was just incredible and I will never forget it. On the way home we went through Oregon and Colorado and the snow was just like in the video. Going through the mountains at twilight we could see entire towns and villages and they looked like toy land. I can't wait for this pandemic to be over so I can go again 🖖🏾
I listened to a train track sound recording at night and it did give me strange dreams {Have done night train journeys for many hours in real life}...But of course with a recording you don't get the motion and sliding about that you get with the oldskool European bunks. A very cozy sound. Indian Trains are perhaps the most evocative, and English modern ones the least.
You are traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. Your next stop, the Twilight Zone! " All aboard"! The night train is the only means of travel in and out of the twilight zone. It is not so much a place as it is a time. For every passenger the experience is different. Tonight many will feel the need to sleep but before they do....the Night Train may have something special instore for it's passengers! "Excuse me....Mr. Conductor"? "What stop is up next"? " The town is called 'Anywheresville' mam". "What kind of name is that for a town..... I've never heard of it"! "It's everything and anything for everyone mam". " What do you mean by that"?! ....." Mam....if you get off at Anywheresville you can just make a wish upon stepping off the Night Train and it will be so". In this episode everyone on this train wants to just 😴 But imagine if you will a place where you can grow up again. A place where you can change your life as you know it. Anything is now possible if you step off but be warned..... there's no coming back. So if sleep is all you need then I suggest you close your eyes and by pass the next stop. It's a place that also exists in your dreams....or a Night Train going anywhere....in the twilight zone.

Thank you very much for this train trip. Feels so good to sit here in this train with you while the weather is a bit nasty outside. I am glad I brought my warmer coat with me and that they have that restaurant in here to get some warm to eat and drink too. I hope you have a good trip too. 🤣😊😀 This is very inspiring to think to travel. And your download is just fantastic. Thank you again. Give s you the real travel vibe after a while!
This is one of the best train rides and true sound I have seen. We played the all thing on a large screen for the kids with surround sound and a couple of gentle fans blowing a breeze and the results were astonishing. Thank you very much for posting...the results were awesome, it’s like if we were there. We have done the same thing with a roller coaster video and the results were just as awesome without leaving the living room, it is as near reality as it gets.
I had trains by pass with tracks literally in my back yard as a kid. Our entire house would rattle and they would blow their horns through the night. I cannot thank you enough. I am knocked out with this!! Solutions to insomnia all along. I miss hearing them!
So true. Your mind can travel where ever it wants to be. Having this on your computer to you side on a bigger screen makes you think you are looking out side the train window snd sitting inside while reading, writing or something like that. Like this: I love this train ride. Finally having time to think and relax😊 or taking a little nap. Uups I dropped my book, while sitting in this compartment reading and falling asleep. The swaying and the noise of the train made me sleepy. Thank you for picking my book up for me. That was nice of you. 😊 Nice to meet you. Well I'm going to Gotenburg and you? Malmö?! Yess, it a pretty little city. We were there too! People were really nice there, too.
Stuck at home, with a hot, humid summer day outside, and sad because I haven't been able to go on a train trip in over a year. Found this video while looking for some classical music to play in the background while my daughter did her homeschooling, and she insisted I leave this on because "it makes me feel like I'm on a train, and everything is better on a train!" But how do I tear myself away from the beautiful snowy scenery in order to get some work done?
