Them push button tone and pickup controls remind me so much of a ford cortina estate we had back in the 70s , the radio had those clunky buttons , and twas a pivotal moment in my adolescent life when I clunked a particular button and "san plane pour moi" was just strumming it's first decadent chords , and for a twelve year old raised on country music it was just like loosing my musical virginity , ok, I've probably wandered of the actual bass guitar in question but those buttons sure are nostalgic , Maybe there is a bass pedal with a wind up crank start handle to complement this quirky bass guitar,
Abraham Laborial had a Goya like you showed, and I got to play it once. I first saw it in Boston, and played it here in Cali. Set-up was not good, but he made magic on that bass. I like that Nordstrand- reminds me of Alphonso Johnson's first bass.
Excellent demo! Loved all your talking pointings citing the the highlights of the bass. The sound is truly great and it really does a great throw back to 60's bass sounds. Very impressive. Great price point too!
Great review on the Acinonyx. Nordstrand is one of my favorite companies. The more I listen to the demos of this bass the more I'm obsessed to want one.
lovely demo, great bass! It's on my shopping list for sure! Gutted that the series-setting didn't work, would have loved to hear it in the hands of a legend like Frank. Maybe in a small future video? This bass deserves the attention! By the way, keep it up Gregor! Great channel, lovely playing and enjoyable presentation. It all just feels very professional :)
yeah huge bummer we missed to demo this properly. But the bass is here, so we'll use it in future amp and pedal demos. I'll make sure to include the proper serial sound in future. Stay tuned!
The first time I saw this bass, I didn't like the looks of it... but, it has grown on me quickly. Now I think it looks pretty cool. Definitely something different. And it SOUNDS great.
That control scheme is something that's been out of use since the 60s, and this is a _really_ cool way to reintroduce it! I do wonder how they managed to wire up the top switch bar, so pressing all-in gives you a series tone!
I used to have a jaguar bass, which is similar in that it has lots of switches. I'd hit them accidentally, especially when slapping enthusiastically. Pretty sure the switches on this baby would get pushed in while playing too. Pity - looks awesome.
Hi, kannst Du mir vielleicht sagen, wo man diesen Bass momentan kaufen kann? Es scheint ja nicht so einfach zu sein, einen in Deutschland herzubekommen.......
man not a lot of playing on this review so i'm not sure what to think. I can tell your excited about it. very vintag-ey. this is definently the "you had to be there" kind of review. the price is not that bad considering all the unique features and it being from a boutique. if you play oldies music this is probably a good solidbody to check out.
@@basstheworldofficial Wow! Thanks! I’ve been a guitarist forever and recently taking bass very seriously. All I hear are chants for hi-mass bridges for sustain. Thx for letting me know!
@@basstheworldofficial thanks. I bet the price is crazy high for indonesian market even though the bass is local made. I can buy second handed fender usa/mexico rather buy second handed sterling by musicman or even sire.
Тебе легко говорить..... У тебя гитар, видимо,не видимо... А у меня нету даже одной... У меня пенсія на которую живу целый месяц , 52€.... Сколько гитар я могу купить себе на эти деньги???
What's that sound? Why it's Nordstrand the pickup guys! Ho ho ho now they have a commercial. Also massive low end always works! Most times we play for humans but whales and elephants need music too! I shouldn't drink and RU-vid comment.
