All overpriced hyped up nonsense! I have owned some old Strats. All pretty much ordinary guitars. Nothing special. I would rather have an 80's Kramer Baretta. In flip flop blue of course!
Joe seems like a real cool approachable guy. Not many folks of his caliber would be at a public show like this just hanging out, sharing his stash and mingling with people. Real stand up guy!
Joe was talking about Nerdville and that stranger in the background making faces. He should have moved his eyebrows up and down while making those faces. ROTFLMAO!
love2skiutah most obnoxious store from reviews hidden in Yelp. Ask them a question online they won't even answer. A bunch of aholes from what I hear. Norm ur the boss get them in line.
Norm i'm making it a mission to visit your store and hopefully pick me up a nice strat. I love what you do and i'm in San Bernardino so i'm not too far. Keep doing you brother !
About 5 years ago, went to one of those _"Come to the Holiday Inn this Saturday and we'll buy your old and vintage musical instruments"_ shows with a buddy of mine. He had an ES-125 DC (fat body, double pickup, cutaway) just like the one here only it was a few years older and _not_ like new. The sides had 1 or 2 cracks (nothing too bad). He sold it to them for $700.
Joe, Norm, you guys are awesome! Thanks for sharing. I know a handful of chords and still play my '72 SG Deluxe I've had since 76. Playing guitar is like sex. You don't have to be good to enjoy it.
Thanks Norm I've become a regular watcher of Norm's Rare Guitars. You've introduced me to Joe Bonomasson and others that stir the blood. I have a guitar and a ukulele and can play neither. Can we get the Norm's Rare Guitars tops in the UK? Grant was right, Norm's got the stuff.
Hi norm hope you’re well I would like to purchase a hoodie from you and one of joes T-shirt if possible please I’m in Australia and would be proud to wear it thanks
Just cant get enough of your vids Norm; here's hoping ( from here in Belfast) I can come to the shop in person sometime. Note to self: leave the credit card at home that day!
HI Joe, I Understand too well about having to sell a guitar to pay rent. I had to sell my Deluxe Gold top from the early 70's And I was never able to replace it because every time I started to the price went up and I settled for something else. I'm VERY Proud of you Man and I Love your Music.
what wealthy people invest their $$$ in, they certainly don't put it in the bank like the rest of us chumps -buying classic guitars and cars is one of the best investments.
just think you could buy a home for a family with each one of those guitars. kinda hard as a past collector i get it, but at the same time in my life now i get more joy from helping others out. I have two pre cbs fenders one jag with orginals one jag with burst buckers 63 and 63
Joe, I will be more than happy to help you with your GAS issue. Any day you like, I will be the Gentleman & take some of your guitar stock off your hands. It won't be easy for me either, but hey, you seem like a fine fella. Peace!
Great post as always. I think Malmsteen buys the similar Strats as Joe but gets or makes them scalloped necks...if I recall correctly. The Coral sitar was cool...I guess you didn't buy that? Do they even make those anymore?
So, did Joe just rent a booth, to show off all of his stuff? Like, "Sorry, none of this is for sale, it's just me, showing you all of my stuff". Seems kinda weird to me.
See the T-Shirts: He'd like to show it off in a museum so people can view guitar history, but he's not about to let you into his little house of guitars. A public minded, very private, guy. I like him a lot better than car-hoarding Jay "I have a huge car collection but no one gets to see it unless I get air-time and then only on a one-person exclusive rehearsed basis and I get editing approval" Leno.
considering who he really is (!) joe really fits in as a nerd. you know, iwouldn't mind being joe bonamassa's girlfriend. it's not until they share a bank account the problems happen.
Chuck Mangione - Feels So Good refernce!! Seriously!!??!!! Chuck Mangione is why I started playing trumpet in fourth grade (c.1975) Well,....Feels So Good, and guitar wasn't available at my school. By the way, I still have that Getzen trumpet sitting in it's case right next to my guitar collection. \m/
WOW Norm, Send me an extra large t shirt and you WON'T have to hire me to wear it. I can't wait to see your store. I'm saving money first BEFORE I come.
Had to go back and check out that Feels so Good solo again after all these years. Yes sir that was some tasty playing alright. Hadn't heard that in years.
