"Happy new day, where fresh opportunities abound! Embrace today with joy and gratitude. Wishing you much luck, success, and happiness in all your endeavors and in life!"
I remember seeing Norm's first appearance on Letterman. Ever after each time back he grew and grew on mine and everyone else's brain. He started large. The enormity of the hole he has left now that he is gone cannot be appropriately said. We miss you Mr eNORMous
43:07 hands-down the best Norm McDonald live episode. Hader was comfortable and relaxed and it was like listening in on two SNL legends telling behind-the-scenes stories. It almost felt like a privilege to hear. Also, it was very obvious that Norm was a real fan of Bill’s work on SNL and was asking questions because he really valued his thoughts on writing, acting, and just comedy in general.
12:49 damn that little piece about hanging with Norm to watch the Super Bowl was really good. And it never gets old no matter how many times I watch it, when he says that genuine “I love you” on Letterman‘s final show. (the timestamp is from the end of that little interview segment.)
“Forget all you know about bread. Check out this new invention I just made. Bread….” I was laughing my ass off out of the gate. Also, Seinfeld was the worst character on his show and now I like him even less.
