I believe a bunch of Maher’s opinions are idiotic. BUT- he is 10000% correct in his praise of Norm & how he handled his illness. That’s the biggest man move a person can pull off.

Adam Sandler, Dave Chappelle, Conan O'Brien, David Letterman, David Spade, and some woman from SNL (sorry idr who) were talking about Norm after his death and how he was a very private person. All of them, especially Conan, said they were initially hurt when they found out Norm passed away from cancer, because he thought Norm did not like him enough to tell him about it. Conan after said he felt very selfish, after learning Norm had kept that from everyone. He didnt want that to be his final image
@@thomdotexe he actually graduated high school at 14 and enrolled in university at 16 where he studied mathematics and philosophy. I don't believe he ever ended up getting any degrees though. He had a very unique mind.

That is an extremely nearsighted view on what happened. Btw he literally said he doesn't know, nobody needs to grovel before you if they don't know something. Larry King saw Norm as at minimum an equal, so the dynamic you try to lay out for them is meaningless
