Had me in tears. Norm is ridiculous. The jokes that don't land are the funniest. It's all about the delivery, not the joke itself but sadly a lot of people just do not get it
His friend worked with rosie in the same building. She was upset about his SNL jokes about her, so Norms friend asked him to dial it down. Norm agreed, and then rolled out the flower joke on Conan the next day!!! classic
Norm’s stories are always funny. You never know what the point is, so you have to listen to the whole thing. Then it often doesn’t even have a punch line. It’s the journey, not the destination.
Norm and Conan are great together. Even when they are making it awesomely akward, they are on the still same page and know when to reel it in and get a laugh.
Man Andy is so lucky, he’s one of the few cool celebrities that has been to the ‘Hairy Guys Ass Mansion’. That was one of my favorite jokes of all his Conan appearances! You can tell he just thought of it moments ago, but it’s so perfect for the place and time! Norm was the GOAT!!
man, that condom joke was hilarious. i guess the audience just wasn't ready... Thanks for uploading some new norm macdonald stuff, OP. it's about time youtube got some more!
I love these interviews more than anything else norm had done… stand up, acting, SNL, pod casts.. none of them are as funny as his appearances on the late night talk shows…
Totally correct. He might not crack my top of stand up comics, but when you combine his entire media catalogue specifically these late night appearances, he's the funniest person in history to me
Dave and Conan would probably have him on like every other show if they could. "Here to promote his new stand-up show in Dirtcunt, Manitoba, it's Norm MacDonald!" *crowd is confused*
I've watched all of Norm's talk show appearances & I realized that a lot of his jokes/anecdotes follow a formula where the punchline involves mistaken identity: there's the "Bob Kendall" airplane story, the turtle "roast beef on a hard roll" story, the 1 where his mom thought some Mexican guy was Dave Letterman, the Pump Friction joke & that other Letterman appearance where he says he saw an impostor Ben Matlock in an airport. I love Norm, but I think I found his talk show joke recipe
Ahaha. So glad you reminded me about this comment. Since that comment, Norm has been one of my favourite comedians. I was too excited at that point to include that a.
He once said on the Howard Stern show that it's funny when he or anyone bombs, but that he himself actually doesn't like to bomb. Also if you hear and watch all of his videos, you'll see that he is obsessed with making people laugh and being entertaining. So I doubt he loves to bomb, he do however enjoy to confuse the audience. This is based off of all his interviews by the way, and yes I'm obsessed with Norm MacDonald.
I dont know if people remember this but all SNL cast members use to be talented enough (especially weekend update guys) to go on to all the talk shows and make the rounds every month while on the show either doing standup or sit down routines like this. Now none of them have the talent in standup. Its so sad they began hiring juliard graduates instead of comedians.
Norm kicks ass. Wish I had this when I made my Norm Macdonald "he says to me he says to me he says" video... It won't let me link to it, but its in my profile.
