Please excuse my ignorance...what software does Mr. Foster use to model the forces of wind and for 3d modeling?

I like the idea of building cities vertically instead of laterally. It cuts way back on need for cars and transportation and the overall 'footprint' of the city.

Chachalaca777 First, your calculation is correct! But the ice sheet is not 60 km^3. You have actually missed quite a lot of zero..... For example (from wiki): The Antarctic ice sheet contains 30 million km³ of ice.

I've heard of this "dense cities" bullshit before. So what happens when dense city philosophy combines with shortages of construction approvals, say, like, in Sydney, Los Angelis? This causes increases in prices and causes an outflow of people. It irritates me when scientists get involved in economics, as if they have some deep insight into it.

This ice will not raise the sea level; the glacier it was supporting from drifting into the ocean will raise the sea level. Don't believe me, read today's news. Please do not think your opinion is fact. You don't even pay attention to current events.
