norman pain hit a coupkle in a hit an run and tried to hide the bodies but got caught and went to prison, while in prison his wife left him and took his kids and vanished, and while he was in prison his family didnt visit him, but during his time in prison his parents and family died, and no o0ne told him and only found out on his release whic hsent him into a spiral (he was a teacher)

I recommend you listen to Sonnet from him, his best work aside from this. You missed allot of the subtleties of his writing, there is sooooo many references in this that you dont notice unless you are either aware or they get pointed out. From boxing, anime, horror films. Everyone fixates on the end of the last verse, where noone cares for a man all alone. As powerful as it is, i find the line that follows even stronger. Yes its true, lord knows it. But below to me hits harder "Bore my torch down the long dark winding path" - the only light is the one in your hand as you stumble down the dark path, what do you know about losing everything you know and making it back. From someone who has been down those dark paths and dragged myself back out, words cannot say how much he speaks to some of us.
