Yes. Minnesota and Wisconsin have a rivalry. But. They have residential status for college here in our Wisconsin state colleges. It's more of a friendly rivalry- well- more in football and lakes if anything. We basically talk with similar accents and have problems with alcohol. Immigration culture is similar too? I think. Wisconsin and Minnesota does have a rivalry. From a Wisconsinite perspective, we would maybe be willing to unite, since historically Minnesota was part of the Wisconsin territories, and our two states are very similar. Our rivalry also isn’t remotely close to being as heated as ours with Illinois.

One time, I tried this out (on normal mode) and ended up with my home state of Utah becoming part of a big...general southwestern union, with Arizona, New Mexico, part of Colorado, part of Nevada, BOTH Californias together as one longboy country, and parts of three other Mexican states. It was kinda badass. :D (And rare to see a multi-part union in this game of areas that ARE right next to each other!)
