Could you please provide information on the middle and high public school situation in the Triangle area? This is one of the most concerning aspects I have heard about regarding moving to North Carolina.

Hi there. What specific information you are looking for? There are several local school sites that you may find helpful , one I like is www.carolinaschoolhub.com/ that will show you the top rated public schools and stats including metro area/state rankings, testing scores, graduation, etc. You'll find schools tend to have higher rankings on the North/North West side of Raleigh/suburbs vs the South East side (but again there are outliers). I personally live on the South East side and have a child in school. I have been observing some videos and comments regarding the difficulty in securing spots at public schools near the residential address, which creates instability despite the region's excellent quality of education. I would like to hear more opinions from families residing in the triangle area to determine if this issue is specific or widespread.

That's a great question! There is a lot of discussion about the capping issues on many of the "mom boards" if you join one or more of the following FaceBook Groups: Raleigh Moms Group, or Apex/Cary Moms, or Ladies of Holly Springs, or even Relocating to Raleigh many moms currently here and/or considering relocating here help each other with this very question and what moms are currently experiencing (have experienced) with school capping issues within the triangle. I hope this helps you find the answers you are looking for!
