We have found that coals are much better than flames to roast marshmallows. We have been doing this for over 50 years.

Beautiful rendering of the astounding beauty of the area. Friends and I are planning the same loop in early August, 2021. Thank you for this preview of the trail!

Is this a hard trail to navigate for someone fairly new to backpacking? I go by my self so wanna be safe and not push my boundaries to much.

Thanks for sharing your adventure. We live in Kentucky and have some beautiful trails but man we don’t nothing as gorgeous as those Mountain View’s. Plus are y’all using any kind of cook system besides a pot and a fire?

Beautiful area!! Great video. Do you have to get a permit prior to hiking or can you register at the trail?
@teddpreuss

Thanks for the comments! I did reserve a permit in advance through NPS on the first day they offered them (March 15). Here’s more info. www.nps.gov/noca/planyourvisit/backcountry-reservations.htm www.wta.org/go-outside/passes/backcountry-wilderness-permit-info

Amazing. How many people did you see on this trip?
@teddpreuss
@teddpreuss 3 года назад
Thanks! The first day we saw 10-15 day-hikers. The rest of the trip we saw 2-4 hikers a day. Also, most camp spots are pretty secluded from each other.
