Who is Ron Spomer
For 44 years I’ve had the good fortune to photograph and write about my passion - the outdoor life. Wild creatures and wild places have always stirred me - from the first flushing pheasant that frightened me out of my socks in grandpa’s cornfield to the last whitetail that dismissed me with a wag of its tail. In my attempts to connect with this natural wonder, to become an integral part of our ecosystem and capture a bit of its mystery, I’ve photographed, hiked, hunted, birded, and fished across much of this planet. I've seen the beauty that everyone should see, survived adventures that everyone should experience. I may not have climbed the highest mountains, canoed the wildest rivers, caught the largest fish or shot the biggest bucks, but I’ve tried. Perhaps you have, too. And that’s the essential thing. Being out there, an active participant in our outdoor world.

I like running the north forks, have had good accuracy, no fouling , and reliable expansion on tests

@@northforkbullet No, I think you copied Rhino Bullets. Nevertheless, the concept works very well on tough animals.

Good bullet designs.... maybe they can also make regular soft point bullets for .358", .375", .379" (for 38-55), and other sizes that are almost impossible to find

We have .257 up to .510 in stock in US today.

Looks like a great dangerous game bullet with some energy transfer. I’m sure it won’t be the most accurate with a solid copper shank, though.

Try them, I'm pretty sure you will be surprised. We often shoots 1 big hole with 5 bullets in 100 yards.

To shoot to same point of impact is not only weight, but shape/BC, if not SD. I do like the controlled-expansion solid; actually I like both.
@northforkbullet
@northforkbullet 7 месяцев назад
It's a lot of different things. But solid copper shank both in our solid and soft make them really easy to load and have same point of impact. Make load development with softs. Then remove 1-1,5grain powder and you are really close to shot 1 hole with 2 bullet types.
@clays7741
@clays7741 7 месяцев назад
This bullet has all the weight in the front. Very unique! Innovative or is there a reason nobody else does this?
@joethearcticfox

Check out the Federal Terminal Ascent or the Trophy Bonded Tip. Very similar internal design to the soft point shown here and they have been out for years.
@northforkbullet
@northforkbullet 7 месяцев назад
It's in our construction, we turn our products at a lathe. Add around 20% lead that we chemical and mechanical bond to the core, for SS and PP. We have a solid copper core so bullet opens really easy down to the core and stay like that. Then the weight is in front and bullet keep on like a arrow.

Both bullets look very good and reliable but to get them to shoot at the same impact point will be difficult because you can't use the same powder weight on both a solid normaly use a lower powder weight!!
@northforkbullet
@northforkbullet 7 месяцев назад
Make your load development with our softs. It's a solid coppershank. When you are happy with speed and groups, remove 1-1.5 grain for the solid. Then you are really close for 1 hole with 2 shots with different bullet types. Use same powder. Base is same in all our products.

Looks like they copied jack carters trophy bonded bear claw bullet
@jayparnell7917
@jayparnell7917 7 месяцев назад
Jack Carter's bullet had no grooves in the shank and used a different bonding process. Federal then purchased and switched to gilding metal and then large grooves in the shank. All different than NF's useage of pure copper, micro grooves, and double bonding process.
