I must say, single pilot in a high performance aircraft, ain’t no joke. A lot going on. I’ve been there as well. You’re doing great, and thank you for sharing such great content.
That's exactly the kind of Piloting I'm interested in, i.e. fly privately owned aircrafts and fly them around the world, and by doing so I'd be enjoying every bit of my job as a Pilot. Thanks for sharing with us this wonderful journey and also thank for your generosity to share your wealth of knowledge about the PC-12. Keep'em coming and looking forward for the more content from you. Cheers!
@@pilotkaity Yes Ma'am! I am in the process of it, but am kind of struggling a bit looking for the best flight school, which is best, going to U.S. or to South Africa, to be honest I have a preference for the FAA license, but there are so many choices and I am a bit lost here...
Your single pilot technique is rock solid. I've been flying single pilot most of my 15,000 hour, 30 year career and the same technique's have kept me from doing something stupid. Well done and blue skies.
Thanks you for the content! Retiring from the military and hope to fly a PC-12 to get to the airlines. Really liked the single pilot aspect on that airframe, working on my commercial now after completing my instrument and video's like this help me stay motivated!
Also,, really cool you got to fly into Pappy Boyington airport. As a kid I was a big fan of Ba Ba Black Sheep. Pappy was an icon, and a big reason I got into aviation.
Thanks for sharing. All of the wild fire smoke in CD came from the Elk community in 2023, were we lost a lot homes. It came within a half a mile of our home in Chattaroy WA 35 miles north of Spokane WA.
Great video- thanks for sharing! I'm hoping to fly Part 91 when I retire from corporate life and your channel has been really interesting/informative- you've given me hope. Ha! Thanks again!
You can change the video quality oN the iPhone 15... HD 30 FPS, HD 60 FPS, 4K 30 FPS, 4K 60 FPS and 4K 24 FPS. Of course, the higher resolution settings mean larger video files. I believe the resolution out of the box is HD 30 FPS.
I have a friend in Coeur d’Alene beautiful place in the summer he is right on the river. We took a pontoon boat was lots of fun. I flew from Boise to Spokane going and back on Alaska.
How do you like interacting with the passengers during boarding and deplaning? Do you need to greet them? It would be very cool to get your perspective about pilot/passenger interactions in a video. Very inspiring videos btw! Love them!
Yes I great them inside the FBO and walk them out to the plane. We always brief seat belts, exits, emergency equipment etc and we fly for the same people mostly so it is always good to see them!
@@pilotkaity I think you should do a video for yourself for the briefing of passengers i.e. seat belts, exits, and emergency equipment keep it on your hard drive to show your passengers...but no need for a YT video on that.
I know when I film cockpit videos with my go pro and audio cable. When my go pro gets too hot the first thing that quits is audio recording. And that’s actually a built in spec for go pro… also I fly out of KEUL maybe I’ll see you around!
Ok that’s helpful maybe the camera was too hot. I did another flight vlog after this where it recorded but sounded like a robot voice so I bought a new cord and I’m gonna try that one out today. If you see me in the wild say hi!
Hey Kaity there is a video titled "The Secret Formula for Cinematic iPhone Videos" by Full Time Filmmaker channel, I think that will help you with get awesome footage, he goes over the settings you need to change from the default ones. I think you might need to play around with the "Exposure Adjustment" settings that he goes over to get that really nice cockpit footage at your work :D That way the light from outside your windows don't wash all the interiors in the video.
Always enjoy your content. I use 3 GoPros Hero Black 10 and I use Final Cut Pro to edit my videos on a Mac mini, which does have 1 TB of storage. And yes it is hard and takes a lot of time to edit the 3 camera feeds down from just over 1 hour down to less than 10 minutes, adding callouts, transitions, cutting out specific audio while keeping the video, doing voice over, etc - but I feel like I will leave a legacy of my flights. If you want some info on using that setup let me know.
@@pilotkaity my email is on my channel, feel free to reach out if I can help you with any of that. Between the mounts, audio cable, etc it can get overwhelming at first.
I and the other pilots I fly with still read the checklists out loud and touch the button, switch etc, often verified by the other pilot. Happy Monday morning from Ezhou China.
I’m starting atp-ctp soon for a regional. If you’re looking for a video idea I’d like to hear about your time at atp-ctp and or type rating courses and any tips tricks and stories you have!
If you were to stay over with the airplane, how much time would you be stuck over there? Would it be the same amount of downtime regardless what city you were staying at? Could you have set up a mini office and do some youtube editing? Or I am not sure if red bird is set up for remote instrument flight instructing, but maybe that can be done that way?...that is if you have a instrument flight instructor certificate...?
It isn’t a set amount of time on the ground. Every trip is different. I usually go to the gym when I have down time. There are pilot lounges and I could bring a laptop but not enough of a set up to edit RU-vid.
Love your videos they are awesome 💪🏾. In your opinion, do you think the airlines not hiring right now will affect the corporate sector? I’d like to go down that route as well instead of doing airlines.
Yes the airline hiring affects all of aviation hiring. It’s normally a tricky down effect. But most people think the hiring slow down is due to Boeing delays and will pick up again
I had a rental car that I dropped at the Spokane airport. Then airlines back into Spokane on another day and got another rental car and dropped it on at the Coeur d’Alene airport
Thank you for the feedback! I definitely agree with you. I’m trying to slowly buy more cameras so I don’t go broke on my social media hobby haha but I definitely will be adding more outside views!
I agree and thanks for the feedback. I’m slowly buying more cameras as they are pretty expensive. I did just get a second on so my vlogs after this will have a lot more view angles! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts
