Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Railways
In this video we return to our friends at The North Norfolk Railway during The Showcase Gala Weekend which is a members & shareholders weekend for The Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway Society who works closely with the railway.
We see the steam workings during the weekend in which 3 steam locos were involved.
The society's own Y14 0-6-0 564, The Poppy Line's own BR Standard 4 2-6-0 mogul 76084 & The 13809 Preservation Society's S&D 7F 53809 which all were supported by the diesel fleet.
The head of the North Norfolk Railway table, The tribal chief & flagship loco of line BR Standard class 9F 92203 Black Prince was not available as the 9F was having spring changes in the workshop at Weybourne & could not take part in the event.
Mostly in this video we prioritized the 7F 53809 as we had a gd tick off of locations for 53809 which we had not done before including a rerun from the request stop from 2022 when the loco's safety valves were lifting while climbing the 1 in 80 gradient to Kelling Heath summit.
76084 only worked the Saturday of the event as unfortunately he was declared a failure upon his return to Weybourne sheds on Saturday night due to super heater problems & was replaced by resident class 37 diesel for the Sunday of the event.
Despite the failure of 76084 The Showcase Gala weekend went off well with 53809 & 564 putting in solid performances throughout the weekend.
We end this video with on board footage behind 53809 at the early October sun was setting as we headed to Holt.
Thanks for the company during the weekend of @MarkP_747.
Thanks for reading enjoy the film.
