Haven’t times changed since 1960, l was only a little kid but can remember it very well, great to see all the chev’s, Buick’s, Holden’s l even saw an Armstrong siddely Ute, but the best was after the horse race when the young girl at 18.25 was carrying a bottle of beer! But I’m sure it was for her old man lol
Brilliant!. We did this trip from Sydney a few years ago. MY, how things have changed. When did they make NT a state?. NEVER knew that before. Many thanks 😊 👍 🇦🇺 🇦🇺 💯,.. Edit...I meant I never knew it wasn't 🙄
does anyone remember "Eva's restaurant" or maybe it was a cafe. In Darwin, it had trestle tables and you bought a set of 3 vouchers. soup dinner and pudding. If you shared with a friend one would have the starter and pudding and the other the main meal? I remember it in the mid 60s.
1960? I couldn’t watch the croc hunting…but I loved the video. How well people are dressed! But what a god forsaken place! This was before aborigines were even counted in the census. The harshness and the lack of shade. Not much to say about Arnhem Land.
At 9:25, he says Australians, Malays, Chinese and Aborigines... So are Aborigines not Australians? If anything, they're more Australian than other Australians, they were there first. Just like the first nations.
Sir it appears you are not aware this is a historic film, made in 1960. A lot has changed in Australia and the world in general where a better understanding of people’s and their place in the country. If you would like to understand better what Australia is today, perhaps you can look at some current documentaries from the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission)
