North West livin' the Lion King life while the rest of us audition #NepotismBaby #TheLionKing #WhoRunThePrideLands North West's Lion King debut: Talent or nah? #NepoBabyInTheSpotlight #TheLionKing #IsThisTheCircleOfLife
All the Lion King actors before this musical will be pissed off movie/stage alike. And Marilyn Monroe was already spinning in her grave when you know who ruined that dress.
I’m still triggered about the dress. Marilyn did a tape recorded interview from her living room where she talks about not being able to believe how famous she is- she couldn’t believe people could say things like, “Who does she think she is, Marilyn Monroe?” One of my favorite Marilyn quotes because she sounded so humble and mindblown over her own popularity. The quote is very fitting for the dress Kim ripped.
@@HalmaSayek184It is a problem for the people who PAID to see a performance that is worth their money but instead, they received a poorly executed and organized show by a child that clearly didn’t deserve the role nearly as much as other applicants that can sing, dance, and act due to special treatment towards celebrities. If a child doesn’t deserve to be a part of a show then they shouldn’t be allowed to perform regardless of background.
I had the same thought, like it's so bizarre seeing this incredible production of professionals around her while she awkwardly stomps around and shout-sings off key. It's so embarrassing.
TBH, the song IS about how Simba is just expecting everyone to listen to him without understanding the responsibility paired with it. Hamlet/Simba is a "nepo-baby". They want the title until the responsibility comes. I know this wasn't the reasoning of casting North West, but you have to admit the irony if you're going to be this vocal in complaining about it.
I agree with you and people who are sitting here saying oh don’t put any blame on her. OK don’t put a lot of blame on her but she deserves some criticism here because 10 years old I know 10-year-olds don’t know everything but they have to have enough awareness to know I’m good at this, but not this but this kid clearly has no self-awareness at all so yes I blame Disney. Yes, I blame the parents, but I’m putting a little bit of blame on little Miss delusional too. I’m sorry I’m not letting her off the hook, you can call me better or you can call me whatever you want, but I am not changing my stance on this.
The reason ppl hate Nepotism Babies and hate their parents. Stealing opportunities from kids with better vocals and talent! She did a terrible job. She’s out of breath and off key!
Out of breath, off key, looks lost and confused. It's a whole mess. Just a shame. I understand it's a Child but this wasn't an elementary school talent show and she definitely had no business being the lead.
This very true, I understand making sure your child feels they can do anything but I don't understand taking the role from people who actually audition and made it to the finals. It's delusional!
@@vsisstance after I took my son i started looking into having him audition bc of his personality but I told him if you wanna do it respect those people time and improve before auditioning
Ppl should really blame the ppl who made the decision to cast her. Also her parents, but please let’s not hate on a child. She was so happy up there doing her thing 💜
I’ll probably get the crap kicked out of me for this properly. Don’t care that child cannot sing. I don’t care who her parents are. This is nepotism at its absolute worst.
@@Trustamania I respectfully disagree with your point of view that it’s sad because to me it’s a lesson that she needs to learn and it’s better that she learning it now rather than later in life.
@@littlesongbird1 exactly thank you I have no sympathy for her. I’m sorry but 10 years old is definitely old enough to know that you can go up and say mommy daddy I’m not good enough for this. I shouldn’t be doing this, but did she do that? No, she’s just as delusional as her mother I don’t even get me started on her lack of self-awareness.
I feel really bad for the child. It's not her fault her parents pulled the strings. Her performance was just as cute and adorable as any other child at a school play. I don't think she should have gotten this part over other talented children, but I'd like to acknowledge that she is 10 years old, and she shouldn't be getting blasted so hard. Her parents stole the opportunity and inserted her there. Blame Kim. But this is a child doing her best, and just like the majority of children, it's not top notch, but it's her parents' fault for broadcasting it instead of cheering her on privately.
While her parents are totally at fault, it’s not hating or bashing to say she isn’t good. This would’ve been fine and even cute if it wasn’t elementary school play but this is a Broadway musical that people paid a lot of money to see and she was terrible and brought the show and production down. If she new how to sing, dance, and act, then that would be different, but she doesn’t and that’s the truth. There are kids her age who can do these things way better than her.
No..she decided.to shout the lyrics and wear sweatpants and house shoes..instead of the costume. All the other actors are not wearing sweats and house shoes. Terrible. Terrible singing Terrible stage presentation
They better gave extra pay to that poor Zebra that had to direct North on stage almost all the time. Before you say "she's just a child, she's not a professional," well both those statements are true, but since she's not a professional, she had no business on that stage during such a professional performance. There are lots of professional kids out there who are jaw-dropping on stage who deserved that part more than she did. Nepotism creates horrific experiences not just for those that are talented on and off stage but also for the audience.
It makes moms like me who take their kids to all these lessons after school and driving them to competitions out of state mad at her parents for allowing her to do that show untrained not little North fault .
As a theatre kid this really bothers me bc like so many other talented kids could’ve gotten the role which would’ve really helped their career and get them more roles. North has fame and money and pretty much anything she could ever want. Other kids actually have talent and a dream and deserve to get that part. And the costume just wtf is that 🤦♀️ Edit: I get that it prob wasn’t even north’s choice to do this or not so no hate to her but hate to Kim and Kanye
Kim not only allowed North to do this, she also bribed everyone in charge of casting for the show to recast in favor of North (The role of Young Simba was originally going to go to a quite talented young performer who had prior experience playing the part on stage).
The way the zebras keep guiding her because she has zero stage presence 😭 I feel bad for her. It's not her fault she was made to do this. Also Simba is a boy.. so she can't be a king.. 😩
I'm sure she practiced for weeks beforehand; just that clearly she hasn't had training, no talent in singing and dancing, no stage presence and no sense of stage presence. She hasn't put in any years of hard work like any other theater kids. Why would she need to? Her mom didn't have any training in showbiz and became a billionaire, she probably thinks the same for this poor child. It's not the child's fault, it's her whole family that put her in this spot.
@@vsisstanceFr and the other dancers and actors are otherwise so good arranged it look like she didn't practice or anything another child definitely deserved that role more
There was a lot of quiet moments during her performance. Lol in the other clips of the other performers, everyone is singing along to the songs.... no one sang along to her performance.
@@hh7184 As someone who has worked in education in various capacities for years and been through all kinds of anti- bullying training, I can tell you that's not bullying. Smack- talking, but not bullying. For it to be considered bullying, A) It needs to be a repeated behavior. B) There needs to be an imbalance of power of some sort in favor of the bully. If anything, the imbalance of power is in favor of North, with her money and family fame.
I want a refund, and I wasn’t even at the show! 💯🤦♀️ Money sure can buy you a spot in a show, but it definitely can’t buy you talent to go with it!🤷♀️
That is EXACTLY the shuffle an awkward kid with no idea how to match the energy of the much more talented and experienced cast around her so she figures she has to move rhythmically to them SOMEHOW so she just sways.
Her parents and Disney should be ashamed. There were too many people that could see this little girl was not ready. Shame on them. However, if this is something she really wants to do, I pray her parents really hone into that passion and build up her talents.
Youve got to feel sorry for the professional performers, i feel sorry for north as well, she is constantly being told shes amazing and can do what she wants when its quite apparent she isnt and she shouldnt
This poor little girl got hit with reality!! You can’t just do things that you don’t have the talent for. Kim you should be ashamed of yourself!! I felt like I was watching 7th grade talent show. She was the only one out of place!! With practice I’m sure she’d get better but Kim is responsible for the backlash!!!
Her whole life experience is having all the things and doing all the things the rest of us only dream of doing… but she’ll never get the credit, validation or recognition herself.
North West is definitely living her best life. I think most people were just concerned at the fact that she didn't properly auditioned for this role and others did, and they made it to the final round and Kim Kardashian and her walked in with a check and everyone else was dismissed.
@@vsisstanceI think most people are concerned about the fact that she was objectively rubbish. Deffo not at the standard to perform professionally and yet she did. Somehow 🤔
This is what happens when you're surronded by ass-kissers. Theres a plethora of videos just gushing about how amazing she was, girl slayed, destined to be a star, raw talent, blah blah blah... Just. No.
I also learned that this is more or less a plot so that they can use It on their Hulu show and Hulu is owned by Disney and the Lion King is owned by Disney, so it's all the circle of life. It's still BS, to steal opportunity from an actual talented individual. And this young lady knows darn well, she sounded like a child in a bathroom.
I think the worst part is if she decides to continue she will have conflicting voices inside if she questions her talent her mum and dad will tell her she “did great and don’t care what people say” which will just make her more ignorant.
I watched a different video filmed by an audience member and she said “wait isn’t that Beyoncé’s kid?” I don’t even like the carter/knowles household.... but don’t do blue ivy like that! 😂😂😢
Kim and Ye ought to be ashamed for setting their child up for failure and taking this part away from a talented child that deserved it. This is going to haunt North when she becomes an adult. She was so unprepared and confused the whole time
1. I'd imagine 0:41- 1:00 sums up the parenting/ child- rearing philosophy that North is being raised on. As Grandpa Joe in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' famously observed, "No good can ever come from spoiling a child like that." 2. The poor audience members suffering through it were probably thinking to themselves, 'Don't worry, it's just a few more minutes until Jeremy Irons will be here singing "Be Prepared," so we just have to sit through this for a little bit longer to get to that!'
You know, her mom could have used the money she paid to get North this performance and invested in voice and dance lessons for her. She is young enough to learn. It was not right to put her out there like this.
These roles need to be given to actual talent!! This isn't an effing talent show.. and yes I know she's a kid this is on her parents!! My son isn't built for football so you know what I do??? I keep him tf off the football field! But he kicks major 🍑 at baseball so keep your eyes out for him!!!
At least with Blue Ivy, she is performing at her Mother’s concerts, which her mother is in charge of and chooses everything. This isn’t related to anything Kim or Kanye does, so obvious they paid someone off, and even worse that they had auditions held to find a talented kid for this role. Abuse of nepotism at its finest
She is a cute baby, she does not sing bad imho. But it would be good at an elementary school summer party,or at a toddler's birthday party. It is not bad in itself, it is just not professional, and remarkably sad that talented kis with studies, vocation and hours of vocal coaching and many sacrifices of their families for auditions, classes etc did loose the opportunity to shine because the role was taken.
It's Zazu shaking his head in frustration at the end for me! Poor Zazu. Poor hard working/talented cast! (no North is not part of that). She's not part of the cast.
overall that was a less than mediocre performance, but that last “I just can’t wait” killed me. can’t believe the parents would let their child be humiliated like that.
She is the best performer I've ever seen. She has an amazing stage presence, extraordinary dancing skills, and a stunning voice. This child will take the world by storm and be a huge success. Rated 10 out of 10.
The people saying “we shouldn’t be mean to her” nah miss me with that she should learn now before she takes peoples spots when she’s older just cause of money or power!
EXCELLENT 👉 point MADE! You're absolutely right ✅️ because she will develop a sense of entitlement. Now, if she uses this moment as a lesson, get some training (the have the coins), and becomes great ... by all means use your money to get those leads, North!
They should have gotten halocene instead because her cover of i just can't wait to be king was amazing, or even todrick hall, both would have brought in way more people wanting to see the show
There's no way she did the whole show, but this is the only part that they have online. So I'm guessing she only did the one song. Which really doesn't make any sense, but, that's what money for you, It doesn't need to make "cents" Just need to make dollars.😅🤣
So many other talented kids deserved this role. Instead they give it to someone who gives a wooden barely rehearsed performance. I’d have asked for my money back or just walked out.
What the hell?!! Just think about all those incredibly talented kids that we all have seen before get thrown over for her🙄. This is the parents fault! I’d like to see what Simon from America’s got talent say about this travesty🤣
The world shouldnt bully a child in mass. Be better than that. Shes an inmocent child at the end of the day. Direct your anger at the people responsible. Her mother and disney. Shame on them. As for north, I hope shes being protected from all the hate shes getting online. Worldwide bullying and critisism can have devastating effects on a child.
The definition of Nepobaby. She didnt even have to compete for the role, she mainly got the role due to her mother and father's fame, and she clearly didn't get her father's singing genetic.
