Maybe you should try to research before commenting. Blue Ivy previously narrated an audiobook called Hair Love. The Lion King role can be seen as a step up from that. She has some experience in that department. Whereas North West has not. I agree it’s unfair for people to criticise the child. What most people have a problem with is; it comes across like she didn’t put any effort in the performance.

Thank you!! FInally a perspective from a fellow dancer/performer. I've been performing since the age of 4 and know how much sacrifice, dedication and hard work goes into our craft. This was wrong and it's a scary place to be in society. Where are we going if we continue to be overrun by the elites? Now they're also messing with other people's paychecks too! smdh

I think the reason why the focus is on the mothers in these situations is because of the connection between the Lion King concert and the Kardashians being produced by the same production company. And Beyoncé is in the movie with Blue. It shifts the focus away from the fathers because they’re less involved in these specific scenarios.

Well said! I 100% agree. It's a difference in parenting. Blue Ivy is being taught you have to work for what you want. Where as North is being taught the exact opposite.

Would Blue Ivy had gotten the role of Kiara if it wasn't for Beyonce? They both are nepo babies and we wouldn't have heard of either one if wasn't for their families.

@@BEWISHMINT The problem isn’t North but her mom. As her parent, Kim needs to protect North from the public. Giving her singing roles she’s not qualified for is doing the opposite. People are not dumb and will instantly notice if someone’s performance is good or bad. Now your child is getting public scrutiny and I’m sure she’s heard about what they’re saying. Her classmates or someone else has probably told her by now. Things like this can really affect a kids mental health. This is why Kanye was so opposed to their daughter being online. But Kim has been exploited her for attention. That’s the most disgusting thing of it all. Even before this incident people started criticizing North bc her mom allows videos of North acting rude to be online. If people begin criticizing your child, you stop showing them so much for their own good. That woman is so self-obsessed and stuck to her phone and social media that she fails to protect her child. It’s actually not though. It would be adorable if this was a school play but this was broadway, people paid for those tickets, they payed a lot. A lot as in literally thousands of dollars. Now you tell me if her “adorable” performance justifies having payed such a price. I don’t agree with bullying kids on the internet and there are many people being needlessly mean to her but at the end of the day the backlash is justified. When people payed that kind of money they did it with the expectation they’d be seeing a quality show put on by talented and qualified performers. And while the other performers were great, when you have someone in such a critical role who isn’t and who honestly looks kinda lost on stage it stands out and ruins the only thing. She only got this role, which she was most definitely not ready for, because of her mother and people are allowed to be upset that they spent so much on those tickets to be present with such a subpar performance by a kid with no vocal or stage training. This is not North’s fault though, she’s just a kid. It’s her parents fault for bribing their daughter's way into this role just to throw her to the wolves with no preparation in the name of getting attention. They could have gotten her some lessons and a vocal couch and then started her on smaller roles to put her out there and for her to get some experience without exposing her too much before she was ready and so she wouldn’t be too humiliated by the internet if it didn’t go perfectly. But instead they decided to throw her to the deep end of the pool without even teaching her how to float and made people waste their money all in one big swoop. Also, the fact she’s a child makes her a victim in this situation but doesn’t justify her lack of skill. Her performance could have been good if she had the proper training. In fact, there are plenty of extremely talented and skillful children in musical theatre out there. The difference is that they actually have training in musical theater and weren’t just handed a principal role in a big production and expected to somehow make it work

It IS literally nepotism, and its not cool as it took the role away from a child who actually deserved it. What about those children?
