It's great to see Pokken again not many fighting games can last long. Pokémon has to do something big for the future of Pokken. This is more satisfying than Sword and Shield
Yeah, Pokken's unfortunately put in a spot where it was marketed as, and outwardly seems like, a casual arena fighter a la most DBZ or Naruto games, even though it's got all the same systems and mechanics other competitive traditional fighters have with just-frames, cancels, etc. It's really well designed but it doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves. It's legitimately probably the single best balanced FG on the market right now in terms of character viability and playstyle variety, and it's also got a lot of mechanics which encourage strong fundamentals, neutral play, and adaption moreso then most other fighting games. If you or are anybody else are interested, check out Pokkenarena and especially it's associated discord server; it's where the community and resources are centralized.
@@ThePeacePlant I didn't mention that when this game first came out I wasn't too into the competitive scene of fighting games, if anything I was a casual no brain player haha
This game looks far way better than sword and shield, and yeah I know swsh is a rpg game and has an overworld, but c'mon this is the best looking pokemon game we have so far. I wonder when will the mainline pokemon game look this good... Still want a Pokken 2 tho
It's even more frustrating when you know that this game originally released on the WiiU and was just ported to the switch. Gamefreak should never ever be allowed to make a Pokemon game ever again. They can still do the story and character designs, however, the game itself should be made by people who know how to make 3D games.
I did not not think anyone actually still played played this game (I’m glad people are since from what I’ve played of pokken, it’s a fun game). I figured it was forgotten.
@@DronesOverTheMoon i mean for what it is its very good. if the game is advertising itself as a camera game you should go in expecting a camera game, I just dont know if 60 bucks is a reasonable price
I remembered playing Charizard back then. Was pretty good for only a few weeks of playing. Was slick at times with Charizard. At least in various ways of getting into the super thing.
This is what Pokémon Anime feels Like if they make it feel more Real like idk Having a Pokémon camp to interact with Pokémon or Costumable Pokémon intros or etc This game would Pop - But so far it’s Amazing ✨
They are doing a LAN battle. You see how the two switches are connected and they have their own monitors? This allows the camera to follow the player's character on their respective screens.
People have always said something like why do Pokémon have to fight it’s competitive even the Pokémon in the show and games like the matches it’s fun watching and participating
It comes from Smash. They call it that because they were almost totally separate from the fgc during the first 3/4 of their competitive life span so they have a completely separate terminology for common things like "recovery frames" being "end lag" and "empty jump throws" being "tomahawk grabs". I think they kept using "end lag" even after they were apart of the fcg though because it'd be confusing to talk about moves with recovery frames AND moves with recovery which is something totally different in Smash.
Only if you know how to pressure with him. Same can be said for a Weavile player too. Fast, charges pokemon support, good potential with lots of options and evasions for ranged characters
I know this is made by Nintendo for the switch, but if this game was released on console or PC, I would definitely buy it and i’m sure the game would become really popular
The first kid with Garchomp wouldn’t even shake his hand after the loss. What a lack of class and sportsmanship. Kid has a lot of growing to do. What a salty young generation that’s coming up. Hate to see it.
