Texas Health and Human Services Commission allocated H.R. 133 and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds in 2022 to San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness (SACADA). SACADA Circles of San Antonio Community Coalition partnered with Northeast Lakeview College (NLC) to create Harmony Haven- Zen Garden that will provide a tranquil and dedicated space for mindfulness and reflection. The garden includes benches, various trees and shrubs, green space, and rock garden and riverbed. The walking path of the garden is made up of reflexology rocks to relax the senses and the lawn is maintained for activities like yoga. The Zen Garden is connected to NLC’s current walking trails that lead to the lake for easier access by the community as well.
