The DPM jacket bears resemblance to Russian kukla mabuta uniforms, often made in small batches for special units. “Kukla” is the Russian name for DPM and “mabuta” is the uniform cut - they come in various patterns.
I've been searching for this camo for a while, but, well, it's rare. Would have made an excellent addition to my collection. There are arrid coloured ones out there too, but I've found only one example in pictures
I have 7 camo uniform tops and all but one was found in a thrift Stores. The best find is an Auscam Jellybean just like the one shown here for $4.50. My others are UCP, DCBD 6 ( Chocolate chip), DCU 3 (Coffee Stain), Multi Cam, Woodland, and Strichtarn (bought on line). I am going to add a Belgian Jigsaw, German Flektarn, and Soviet KSW Sunrays soon. Been checking thrift stores but nothing else as of yet. But he is right check as you might find a cool camo in them. Mine is the Auscam Jellybean from the Aussie Army as it has an army patch with it also. Addition US Air Force Airman Tigers. This looks kinda cool and goes with were I live New Mexico another find in a Thrift Store.
