I'm no coach but here is an idea.... put in the QB that has invested his time at ND and won you a bowl game last year. Stop being soft and compassionate because Leonard won't have another year of eligibility. He's not going to get drafted anyway. PUT IN ANGELI!

well, there goes our playoffs. Freeman simply has to go, this has become routine for ND, Marshall two years ago, Louisville last year now NIU this year. Freeman clearly does not have the ability to motivate the players consistently and is unable to keep them dialed in. His game plans are clearly not good enough, why do we abandon the run game at the end of the game for that second pick? Why take a shot with a QB who in 4 years now has been utterly incapable of throwing the deep ball? Why did he even go out and recruit Leonard when he wasn't even good playing at Duke? How are we supposed to win with a QB who can't make any of the throws you need him to make and with us not running the ball? Why does Freeman have a job? What does he do? He doesn't even really recruit so...?

I think it’s time for ND to start considering looking for a potential replacement for Freeman, I know it’s only week 2 but this is year 3 and a loss like this shouldn’t happen. Also Leonard hasn’t really showed anything in his first 2 games and the last interception was ridiculous and was so underthrown. With Duke he was completely different and way better AND HE WAS INJURED. I’ve been a ND fan my entire life and always will be but as fans we have to stop being ok with ND just being ok. It would take a lot of us but maybe we should stop watching them for a while and stop buying their merchandise which they make a ton from, I’ve learned that when you start hurting people’s pockets then they pay attention.

I been watching football for 56 years. All football. The game has changed so much. Back in the 1960’s and 1970’s it was about great Running Backs and defense that won championships in college. You had the wishbone run by Oklahoma and other teams like Ohio St, USC and Nebraska that had great running games. But in the year 2024 if you don’t have a top Quarterback you don’t win a championship or compete for one. Look at the past champions. Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio St. and LSU had top Quarterbacks that won and got drafted in the first two rounds. Just look at Washington last year. Notre Dame has not got one of these top Quarterbacks and that is a major problem. Find out why and replace that person or persons no matter if its a head coach or assistants. Notre Dame deserves better.

This guy cannot see that your QB throws like crap(his feet are shuffling like he is afraid every time he stands in the pocket). He plays like a HS QB, relying on running over passing! He might be good in practice but he is a terrible QB. Change now or have a loosing season! One last thing, #12 on defense is the laziest player I have ever watched. He takes 3 out of 4 plays off! Sit him!

Here's the truth - we were out played, we were out coached, and their players were just on fire, that's all you can say. Tonight, it seems like we we went in cocky, we did not respect our opponent, and they whipped our butt. Watching coach Hammock after the game, and there he was crying, a man who was once a player on the team and is now a coach, I thought, that's what I love about football. There's no GLOSS and no glam, it's a coach and a team of guys he loves, with a lot of grit and heart. It seems like since we added gold lame to the uniforms and gold cleats, we've lost our way. JMO. I've been a fan since I was in 3rd grade, and I love Notre Dame. Tonight, well, we lost to a better team.

Next loss will be to Miami Ohio
