You never smile or laugh. You're a great worker, but there's more to life than being a working machine. Life is short! Stop and smell the roses. Blessings from Michigan.
Missed you guys! But glad you got a break, you work so hard! Amazing job, again, on the cabin. It’s going to be great when the baby comes. There’s nothing like space! Look forward to seeing the progress!
I live in the woods of Georgia and owls show up once and awhile. We use to have lots of squirrels and farel cats. Not so many now. You can hear them talking like you said. Pretty neat except them eating the squirrels. Cabin looking good 😊
OMG that is a lot of work you have undertaken but with the extra space and the baby coming soon its better to do renovations now rather than later. You do such good work kyle and it will look great when all is done. Until your next video, take care and be safe.(Judy NB)🇨🇦
My best friend moved to the country, a first for her, and she lost 3 cats in astonishingly quick succession before she learned that the city and the country are just very different environments for pets. I'm so glad kitty survived and you're keeping her in at night now!
This is why you really want to take the time to sit and think about the future and plan your house out ONCE.. and not have to do all this remodeling. Which is hard to plan for, but you just have to take time to think things through, which so many people don't do. Also, IMO-- it's much better to just add on to your house than it is to remodel. Remodeling always turns into so much more work than you thought it would be. When you could just add a lean-to roof off the side of your house and add rooms that way. Also, A-frames are a great thing to add on to your existing house. Cheap and easy. If you were planning on living here for a long time.. In a few years, you could add a big A-frame room to the left side of your house and make it as your main "Great room" or living area.. So you have your compact house with all the little rooms, but still have a nice big living area. This is one of the best ways that makes you not feel like you're roughing it. That's a future add on luxury though. ;)
thank you Kyle, it was nice seeing Ceirra, she still does not look pregnant so she is really doing her best with weight gain right....no big deal...just saying...and once again you never disappoint....good for you helping your parents out...keep on keeping on....really busy now aren't you, however knowing you have a new one coming soon, it is going to be great to watch you be a dad....remember they know nothing.....you both got this...and this child of yours is so welcomed to this planet....good for you both...
Sounds like Kitty needs a catio in the shade made completely from plexiglass so she can go outside and tease the owls but nothing can get to her from above or below 🤷♀️
.....And she can't get to the songbirds! Domestic cats are not native to N America, and when they were brought over from Asia, there are now 22 Extinct species of songbirds, sadly. If ppl must have cats, Please keep them indoors! 👍😉
Oh my goodness, you have been busy! The new cabin layout looks great. I think it will be better for you, Cierra and the baby and after the renovation is done you will have a bedroom for guests when they visit. Love the progress you have made. Hope y'all have a wonderful day. 🙂🙏
Owls probably won”t take anything as big as a cat as they grab mice and voles. However better safe than sorry. We have them in our area and so cool to hear them.
As a carpenter myself, what I truly appreciate about your cabin is it's simplicity of design coupled with it's functionality and the ability to adapt the structure to you're needs. This is a way of building that we have moved away from ,and are the poorer for it. Here in Australia we have a massive housing problem, many of our homes built in the 1920's - 1950's were simple dwellings that could be expanded upon as need. That's rarely the case now, but whenever someone asks me about an off grid property or how to go about building something themselves, young man, I send them to your channel :)
We cannot not build a structure like Kyle's in many states in the USA. Mass. has now adopted the 2024 building codes which dictates an R value of 30 in the walls. They take into consideration the amount of windows, in what compass direction they face, etc. In order to achieve this value you'll need 5.5 in of open cell spray foam (R21) and 2 inches of exterior foam on the exterior at $79 for a 4x8 sheet. The average man cannot afford to build.
I feel "nesting mode" going on Kyle, and its a joy to watch! I'm blown away by how fast you are pulling all these projects together. Blessings to the two of you, and the baby that's on its way.❤
Kyle you got it going on. Stay after it. Work safe work smart. Looking good. Heck all you need now is a bed and a place to eat. The rest will come soon. Them youngun's change everything, especially what matters in life. Take care, next time. Watch out for owls. They got the cat's number.
You too have been doing a truly amazing job on the cabin. It’s gonna be nice to have a spare bedroom and a bed room for you and the baby. enjoy watching your videos. Take care..
Coming along nice Kyle! Would love to see an update on the goats in their new space some time. I remember you saying they were moving to the log cabin tool shed.
Looking great Kyle! It's hard living in a place and doing work to it at the same time. Luckily you have a wife that understands the process, me on the other hand, not so lucky..
Always a pleasure watching your videos everything is starting to come together! Looking forward to seeing all the projects you have coming up Until then stay strong stay safe and may god watch over you and Ciera on this amazing journey 🙏❤️✌🏼
I think the owl is more interested in your chickens than the cat. I lost a whole flock of chickens to owls in Northern Wisconsin a few years back, one per night picked off by a smart owl.The chickens would change their roost every night, different tree branches around my house - it didn't matter. It was quite a sight to watch against a full moon, and there was nothing I could do about it because the chickens wouldn't roost in a coop! Shows how important it is to acclimate your birds to a coop like you have done.
The cabin remodel is going to be awesome! I can’t wait to see it. You are such a hard worker Kyle! I love seeing Cierra & Skeeter. They look great! Glad your cat survived the Owl. Hope your chickens are doing well. Very exciting times for you and your future family! God bless you ♥️♥️
Hi Kyle I've watched your channel since it first started and I just want to say how proud I am of all you have done! You guys work so hard for what you have, and you're not one to complain but just keep pushing forward! Looking forward to many more videos, take care you guys!
Loving the layout!! So smart...and spacious!! Well done! Ciera you look amazing!! Cheers to you all, and hugs to Skeeter and Kitty from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦🫶
I have missed you guys so much…!!! So happy you’re back with videos. Wondering if you guys have a PO Box. I’m sure a lot of people will want to send gifts for the baby. I certainly will. Keep it in mind please…! ❤
Your videos have changed my outlook on life and absolutely inspired me to do the same, selling my place and possibly trading in truck to restart and live a debt free life full of hard work. Keep up the good work bud!
FYI, I'm in the trades, and have been playing the game and sacrificeing my body since I got my first studio apartment, Just to be in debt still 😂. Much rather sacrifice for own well being 👍
Such an inspiration! Videos like yours genuinely inspired me and gave me the confidence to build my own cabin, and start a RU-vid channel of my own. Thank you for putting in the work to film and edit all these videos! I know it's a lot more work than people realize
Hi again KYLE Always happy to see you with an update. The remodel is going great and you all will have a really nice home in your beautiful woods. To think you can do all this by yourself is way cool! You're very skilled and talented for sure. Will be so fun to see how you get it finished. Hoping you two enjoyed those blueberries you had picked. What a treat! Stay safe and will catcha next week.
Hardest working guy on youtube. Your channel was a huge inspiration for me to build my own cabin finally and make a youtube channel. You made it all seem so accessible with hard work. Thanks for doing what you do man!
I’m new here. Wow! You do beautiful work! I love the cabin you two have made into a home. I’m wanting to get off grid myself because of prices to keep up a home is becoming astronomical. Love your videos.
My goodness have been so busy Your home will be so beautiful You and Cierra getting ready for baby in a few months Glad Kitty is ok God bless you all and see you in next video ❤❤❤❤❤
You have such a wonderful fall coming up!! You and your family are so blessed, and you are so sweet to share all of it with us!!! Thank you, Kyle, and may God continue to richly bless you and yours!!!! 🙏❤️🙏
