Paddling the bottom section of the Shawmere River in early September 2010 with Peaks. Spending 5 days navigating through the peaceful wilderness with little signs of human activity.
I really enjoyed your Shawmere River videos. I have watched pretty much all of your earlier ones, some of them three or four times. I spent half of my life in Timmins and I still go up there every fall to hunt with one of my buddies. He says he has seen you once in awhile, as I think he hangs out with some of the same guys that you might. I only really got into canoeing once I moved to Ottawa, and now I do several trips a year, mainly in Algonquin. But after watching your videos, I definitely want to do the groundhog and some of the smaller Rivers, like this one. I have to say I love your new funky intro, and the music on your videos was always good, but I find you've taken it to the next level now. I love pretty much all of it on this series. Thank you for what you do, and know that there are others out there who love exploring remote Northern Ontario Rivers as much as you do. 💯
Always inspired by your videos. Thank you for taking the time! I also like that you have a bit of an " environmentalists" view. Like your choice of music and some camera work has an artistic side. Not just a giant ego doing the most extreme stuff and catching the biggest fish and facing the hardest odds...get tired of the pissing contest of a lot of canoe/ wilderness videos..;-) Always curious, what canoe do you use?
