Did they stutter? The noise balancing causes the vocal tracks to be buried in the noise floor due to poor microphone usage and no real distinction. In important parts where a particular slang is distinguished based upon pronunciation, the noise of the store often drowns out the specific sections of emphasis. For example, try as I might, I couldn't hear the difference between crayon and 'crayn' do to the problems with the audio. The inclusion of the generic music track didn't help either. During the bass lure section the voice of the girls was often times buried in the store noises and the music track was often more prominent than what was being said. Also most of the distinctions only work if you utilize the slight accent differences between upland south and southern mid atlantic to get the point across. Otherwise most of the differences in pronunciation are lost.
