This is so lovely to watch these fantastic danceing. I didnt think that these northen soul clubs Actually exsisted. Wish i was there. These great dancers really know how to dance. They all look like there really enjoying Themselves. Wish they had these clubs down are end of the country. We havent got anything like this down are way.
Oh my...takes me back to my teens dancing at miners welfare in Eastwood...I remember an older boy talking to me about northern and he told me I would have it in my soul for life... I am now 60...he was right...xx
What I like about Northern Soul is that everyone had room to dance and express themselves. Today, the discos and clubs appear to be crowded (perhaps to maximise profit) so the only dancing you can do is bopping up and down.
Absolute magic!! Can't believe how this amazing piece of music still sounds fantastic even today and to see all those Ladies dancing to it and enjoying themselves, even at our ages, warms my ❤ heart!! Well done we certainly had the best sounds then. Keep up the faith! Love it!
Hi guys spoke to a.guy before seems really depressed can't find him when I text he is.in his 70 seems as though on his own tried.to back track the conversation xxxxx
Beyond fabulous. I just adore that the guys are dancing on their own. I smiled the entire time watching this. Music is sublime perfection. The soundtrack of my Childhood. Australia.
Del Shannon did a version (small hit) just before Wayne Gibson (re released in UK and got in top 40 in 1974) April Silva (backed by The Brymers) recorded a version in October 1966.
Anyone know the lady here in a White top and black trousers ,quite tall, short blonde crop mmmm, please,I want to get to know her ,shes gorgeous, driving me crazy,thank-you,Kev.
Sounds that way now for sure, but probably didn't so much back in the day. Try "You Don't Own Me" by Lesley Gore as an antidote - both great memories and performances IMO. As you say, Happy Days.
We've all been there Dave....certainly me. I went to a Tuesday soul night in the seventies and discovered that I hadn't quite finished in the bathroom. My blue parallels had a tell-tale stain on the front. Suffice to say, no girl allowed me to catch the last bus with her that night.
top top tune as a kid I use to see the all nighters on a Sunday morning coming out of the wigan casino use to peep inside and get chased off by the door staff I wish I would have had a night in there
