They dragged him off a building site to do top of the pops after pye disco demand cashed in on northern soul with the re-issue. It was a bit naff back then youth club northern.

Never mind the stones, the can just roll away... Wayne made this into one of the most iconic soul songs ever KTF..

Far better that The Stones version by a mile.

Wonder how much Pye. Records had to pay m. jagged for this brilliant track. Also columbia. Reached the charts in 75/74. Probably Wayne got a few beers out of it. lol.can't denigh top northern at the time.
