@@JoelsTastyRide i have to tell you. i posted that comment before i showed your video to my mother (she loves her chiang mai food). she is utterly nitpicky about accents and pronunciations - we both are - because her mother was a teacher - a STRICT teacher (eg, krub is krub, not kraaaaaaab or kup, kroo is kroo, not koo) - and SHE was completely impressed with your accent. so major kudos.

The way he speak it's deep level and beautiful plus his body language and his soft voice. Thai people gonna love him a lot.I was impress by him calling some lady "Ma"(Mom) คุณโจครับ ขอโทษภาษาอังกฤษผมไม่ค่อยดีเท่าไหร่ แอบชื่นชมและเป็นกำลังใจนะครับ

Exactly right, yes! Not only meat lovers, although there are tons of awesome Northern Thai food meaty choices... its also so great to just venture around eating only vegetarian and vegan menu items here as well! This jackfruit can easily match the flavor of any meat curry, its really a great dish... thanks for the comments, have a wonderful day today!

Hi, greetings! Well, the food did help, but in all honesty I did not plan on staying in Thailand all those years ago, it just kinda happened! I had a feeling in my heart, a desire to learn as much as I could about this place (this was after I was already living here with one of my best friends), and after about a year I was just so intrigued... I never left! But yes, the food helps :). every day.

Murl! Wow, lots of good questions, yes a lot to answer right there :) Haha... Well, first of all, my only real plan for when this lockdown is done IS to make a big trip to Southern Thailand. Its the one (out of 4 major regions) that I have visited the least. Out of more than 10 years here, Ive only spent about 2 months in the South, so the majority of anything 'totally new' for me to discover probably awaits down South :) Im excited. For food from the USA, there are definitely a few things I miss - my standard answer, in this order, is Mexican Food, Hamburgers, and Beer. I can make the first two here of course, and actually now craft beer is starting to take off here, but all 3 are so expensive (by comparison) that I would never choose the over Thai food. Just for example, all the food you saw in this video right here cost less than 10$, so maybe only 1 time out of 100 would I choose to pay the same 10$ for 2 glasses of craft beer... or 1 (albeit, very good quality) hamburger! Thanks for the tip on the outro, that is a great tip actually, I need to keep improving in the way of making each video more of a complete package, not just a running VLOG that halfway attempts some type of flowing storyline. Hi Thana!!! I am guessing you are talking about the green chilies? Actually, Northern food isnt as hot as Central food, and SOUTHERN Thai food puts everything else to shame! This recipe includes eggplant, even though it looks like just pure green chilies, so even though it is definitely spicy, its probably not as bad as you are imagining :)
