Thrust wasn’t all that either if we’re being real. Ironically Thrust did the best on this particular track trying his best to sound like B.I.G. And pulling it off pretty good.

I was bumping this all the way down in New Orleans. Was the part of the soundtrack of my senior year (SHOUT OUT C/O 2000)Have ALWAYS respected the 6 hip hop scene.... Thank you Canada
@@bigrod8816 Kardinal was from Toronto though for sure. Dude went to my school. Graduated a few years before I went so I never met him or anything, but yeah he was on the wall of pictures of grads. By the time I was in gr 9, he was already all over much music so everyone knew.
Look up! You will find it there with where it came from! What Mo O? Not cool these days devil? Thanks for the cheap credit! Wheres my wife? Sure as hell isn't you
I remember this song 20 years later.... was the tune i liked most in Rap category in 1998.....in T.O all ages clubs ... or back in the day on City Tv ... back when local Toronto Tv channels were more Local..... I miss these days ... Was allot of fun
Northern Touch should of had a billion views by now I guess they dont like to see greatness in Canada I dont understand what happened this was the blueprint for all Canadian rappers
Home is where the hate is man. Toronto's has this weird thing where they like to kill their own rappers out of jealousy. There's a few RU-vid documentaries u can find on the topic
As amazing as this is and was the blueprint was created before. Think of guys like Maestro original Canadian hip hop. Great time in hip hop and unfortunately Canada is now known for Drake. He couldn't read the blueprint.
@@KillaSin515 i didnt say that canada ruled hip-hop at that time. I said it was a golden era for us. And new york was not on top back then. It was the south that was on top and hip-hop suffered because of it. There was a reason that nas dropped the album 'hip-hop is dead' during the bling bling era.
@@africaRBG Nas dropped that album in 2006. This is late 90s early 2000. NY was still on top. The South was just starting. By the way...this song came out in 98. So yes. NY was still on top.
@@KillaSin515 what is the late 90s early 2000s ? In the late 90s the south was ascending already with master p, mystikal, juvenile, manny fresh, lil wayne, outkast etc. They were on top in the 2000s. Yes, nas dropped the album in 2006, which is the mid 2000s. And he dropped it for a reason, having seen the trend thus far of commercial hip-hop in the 2000s, which was coming primarily from the south.
Real hip hop. Shout out from Toronto - And a shout out to Saukrates, Maestro. Still stickin to my vision. I remember bein at the Skydome and the Rascalz got off stage and we all were yellin at em to come back. The car show. Man. Subbed. Much love.
My best friend Joshua sent me this video because I was having a very bad day at work. I got to say it changed the rest of the day with a smile because this song epitomizes our high school years and our long standing friendship. Late 1990's if I am not mistaken was when I saw this video on MuchMusic and like a lot of other comments below, Canadian hip hop royalty in full effect. Ah, those were the great days of hip hop.
