Proud and honoured to have produced this beat and the original. This was way ahead of its time. But back then... We was just livin in the moment. Shout out to all the men on the track and the ones behind the music. Cinqo, Dolo, Tyson, Jessey, Rip Dean🙏🏿 Soundproof. This changed my life!! Thank you 🙏🏿🙏🏿
Facts. Where else can you find a white Irish guy from the hood singing the chorus to a French theme songs and listened to by Muslims from Africa living in Canada.
I remember how important this was when it dropped. I was a kid like oh Canadian rap isn't what made me so proud a few years earlier...then enter ghetto concept and point blank...
The greatness of Canadian rap in this video, way before even drake this is what it's about I should a couple of my friends at work they are 19 and 21 they are hooked now
Was in the 7th grade at Milne Valley Middle School in the T.dot when Maestro dropped back bone slide. Been listening to MFW and Snow ever since. These guys are legends. If both of them had been in the US when they dropped their first albums they would have exploded to mega stars.
2001 WAS A PIVOTAL YEAR IN CANADIAN HIP HOP Maaaaan!!! The 80s was the beginning, The 90s was the development, The 2000s was the Growth and now finally in the 2010s we're on TOP!!
Seeing this makes me sad for the music scene in Canada today :( We have a Wanna be Gangster that went to the most exclusive high school in the country and was a child actor.... he'll always be Wheelchair Jimmy no matter how many times he calls himself something else and then there's always that annoying sticky snot Beibier that just wont seem to go away no matter how much you flick or wipe under the table :\
I agree with you. I don't know how old you are, but I am 30-years-old right now. The Canadian music scene is just not the same as it used to be when I was growing up. Much Music was the hottest channel to watch when I was growing up. The hosts would put on exclusive interviews with awesome artists, cool contests, there was speakers corner and so much more. There used to be hundreds of people crowded outside of the building during events. Much Music has just got progressively worse as time went on. I seriously believe it is because the Canadian music scene is just not the same anymore.
